Muslim truck driver sues employer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Muslim truck driver has filed a federal lawsuit that claims he was fired for refusing to transport a load of Budweiser beer after telling managers it violated his religious beliefs.

Ibrahim Barzinji, 42, filed suit earlier this week against the Arkansas-based J.B. Hunt Transport Services. He had already received permission to sue from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which is the first step required for filling Civil Right Act suits.

Umm, he worked for JB Hunt, they ship more than just Beer. The question is whether he signed a contract and if the contract stated he may be required to ship beer. If he didn't sign a contract and wasn't told that he would have to ship beer until he was asked, then he does, in fact, have a case. So, I'll wait until I get more information until I decide.
