check out these quotes from this article
Jimmy Carter on....

World Peace:

America is no better off now than it was in the late 1970s and early 1980s, says former President Jimmy Carter. From national politics to relationships with other nations, there is a lot of room for improvement. "We had almost complete harmony with every nation on Earth," the Nobel Peace Prize winner said of his administration. "We not only preserved peace for our country, we never went to war. We never dropped a bomb. We never fired a missile."

Partisan divide:

Carter says he had wonderful bipartisan cooperation, with Democrats and Republicans in both the House and the Senate supporting him.

Success:

Because when I was successful in dealing with jobs and when I was dealing with international affairs and peace and human rights and energy and that sort of thing, then America (was successful)."

There you have it folks. Jimmy Carter, the high water mark of presidents in the last 3 decades.

Good one.
Let me take a quick step back in time to Carter's glory years.

19% interest rate on a 30 year mortgage

Fuel crisis and long lines at the gas stations that actually had fuel in their tanks. Fuel trucks traveling under the cover of night to refill certain stations.

13.5% Inflation rate by the end of his term

10% drop in median family incomes

The best thing about Carter is that his brutal failure helped get Reagan into the White House. This was the most astoundingly successful economic policy in U.S. history. Carters boon lead to an Economic Boom under Reagan that lasted from 1982 until about 1990.

Carter must not read the History books.
Poor little fella. But, hey, his brother did give us "Billy Beer" I still have an unopened 6 pack of the stuff somewhere in my basement. That's gotta be worth something.

Edit to add:
I guess my 6 pack of Billy is worth @#$!
Billy Beer: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

An example of senility at it's worst.

Really sad that carter's handlers don't keep him quiet so he can retain what little respect he still has.

Back in 1980 I voted for him in my very first election.
He was a nice guy. I was 18 and stupid.
He turned out to be an awful president. Just awful.
Now ... I just feel sorry for the guy.
Wish his family could take care of him somehow .. quiet him down for his own sake.
