that video made me sad, as i watched i wondered what would i do if it was me. than i thought they must be savaged uncivilized people, but i started thinking would i have the right to go over there and force them to have the same morals as me? they most likely think what they are doing is right, so would they also have the right to come over here and force their morals on me? and where does it stop? where is the middle ground, i cant see my self going along with their beliefs if they came over and tried to convert me, so should i expect them to change to my beliefs?

It's like this all across the continent. This is just a spec on the radar of what's going on around here.Even in my own country,South Africa, this might become reality.Genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Theres no country in Africa that doesn't have some issue going.Zimbabwe,The DRC,Uganda,Somalia,Nigeria.Sudan...list goes on and on.

Stuff like this rarely ever gets the attention it needs, but I'm glad someone has noticed.Africa is full of little superstitions like these.Somehow people always find a way to devide themselfs from another group. And living in Africa,it always turns voilent.

humans often act in a brash and careless manner in terms of what they believe to be righteous. this is a very harsh and sad reality to see sometimes, but a reality nonetheless. we must always think before we act, as our actions can at times have disasterous consequences and we must bear the responsibility, whatever the outcome.

You are watching Africa in action, the kind of place where 2 year old kids have to hide all day so they don't get raped, the kind of place where kids are inhaling their own sewage to get away from it all.

Does it bother you? Okay go eat McDonalds.

Ever been to Africa? No, I thought not you moron.

Judging an entire continent on isolated incidents such as the video in the OP is retarded at best, hateful at worst. It's like saying all Americans are savages because of the actions of a few of their servicemen who tortured Iraqis. Those in glass houses should not throw stones - look at all the terrible things that happen in "the West", murder, rape, paedophilia etc etc etc.

The patronising "we need to teach those primitive Africans our ways" comments are not much better. Let's get our own houses in order first - maybe they could teach us not to invade nations and bomb innocent civilians for a start.

Afrikaner spotted!

There ARE success stories in Africa, obviously that doesn't fit your agenda though.

As an interesting sidebar (because Halloween is next week), did you know that more people have been put to death for being Werewolves than all of the "witches", "devil worshippers", "murderers", and "homosexuals" combined during the inquisition? Something like 50,000 people were accused of, convicted of, and killed for being werewolves in a single year across Europe. Weird, huh?

Mactire, what I find most interesting about that is...what on earth were these people doing that led others to believe them to be witches and werewolves? The thing is, a person can go around claiming to be this or that all they want, but without something to corroborate their claims, they sound like they're just talking nonsense. Knowing the consequences of being labeled as one of these two things, were people really going around publicly announcing they were witches and werewolves all over the place? I find that hard to believe, considering their likely fate.

In my mind, there must have been some circumstances surrounding the behaviors of these people or some supernatural events involving them that confirmed these suspicions by others. To me, that's where the real mystery is with these folks. I believe in witchcraft, and I have no problem believing that when someone says he/she is a witch, he/she is indeed one. But werewolves? Interesting.

Burning people has always been the African solution. Just look at the recent Xenophobic attacks that happened in rural areas in South Africa. Its called the necklase. What they do is they put a tire around ur neck, poor some petrol on it and set you fire.

Just a very savage continent. So witch burning comes to no surprise to me.If you really wanna see some messed up stuff you should google the Muti murders. They cut peoples bodie parts up and make medicine from it.Most of the victims of these horrible crimes are usually childern. They believe the younger the person the stronger the medicine.

Whats even worse these people have offices in town. They practice this freely with out any resistance from the law.I've come across a few of these myself. It's just terrible.

It is very interesting, I've always believed in witches and the like but never really ever considered werewolves as having ever actually existed. Same as vampires .. but who knows =/

Wow, what an incredible comment. I have never been to Africa, but I hardly think this video speaks for the entirety of Africa. I think maybe you're the one that's been eating McDonald's food...far too much of it, in fact. It's stifled your brain function, I think.

I don't know why anyone is so shocked by this video. This is happening in Africa, a continent that embraces this kind of behavior.

AIDS is rampant in Africa becuase there is a belief there that if a man has AIDS, the cure is to have sex with a virgin female.

It's going to take a while for the peole of the African continent to come around to understanding what the real world is about, especially when they're constantly witnessing things such as the scenes in this video.

It's persistant education that'll bring these people out of the darkness that embraces their continent.

Romantic Rebel. Where is witch burning sanctioned by Christians?

Well I live in Africa so I'd say it does.U can look anywhere in Africa...the majority of these countries are either in civil war, oppressed by some dictator, extremely high rate of crime, being killed out by some disease or starving of hunger(which even if the UN gets food to these countries it always ends up the hands of gangs who end up using it against the people or selling it).

I did a thread on the possible scientific explanation for the Salem Witch Trials here:www.abovetopsecret.com...

Mold from Rye Bread can cause mass hysteria and mental breakdown.

Could only stomach a few seconds of the video, too much for me to handle.

I keep wondering when humanity is going to grow up.

It wouldn't even take that, mankind is very superstitious, even those who think they are above it may have quirky little rituals they might not attribute to superstition,

I can plant a superstition meme in anyones head.

It wouldn't take much to send us so called civilized nations backwards.

Have any of you who are talking trash aboout christians ever read the bible for your selves do you even know what real christians teach and think. Real christianity does not teach burning witches or any other person who does not follow their beliefs. Those who do these kinds of things are not true christians and are not true followers of christ.

Oh, we've read the bible alright, here's what it has to say about burning people alive:

"About three months later Judah was told, "Your daughter-in-law Tamar is guilty of prostitution, and as a result she is now pregnant." Judah said, "Bring her out and have her burned to death!""
Genesis 38,24

"If a man marries both a woman and her mother, he has committed a wicked act. The man and both women must be burned to death to wipe out such wickedness from among you.
Leviticus 20,14

"'If a priest's daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she disgraces her father; she must be burned in the fire."
Leviticus 21,9

"He who is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated the covenant of the LORD and has done a disgraceful thing in Israel!'"
Joshua 7,15

Ironically, though:

"And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing."

1 Corinthians 13:3

Some people only read the Bible for ammunition
to use against true believers of Jesus/Yeshua.
They read God's word with a dead spirit and the
Bible's true meanings are hidden from them.
Plus, you can get a lot of stars and flags for berating
christianity.The God haters,scoffers and atheists
eat this stuff up.

An rampant outbreak of rabies perhaps? No known cure and almost certainly fatal, cross-species transmission through broken skin, often caused by being attacked by a sufferer, canine, porcine, bovine, human; also known as 'the madness'. Killing the infected was probably the only rational course of action to prevent absolute pandemic. Just a thought!

Leviticus 20,is talking about the human sacrifices that was prevalent in the ancient near east, there are large sacred cemeteries where children were sacrificed to Molech,

The Carthaginians sacrificed and buried children in urns that have been found in archeological digs, to their Phoenician deities.

Some Israelites were know to sacrifice their children to Molech, scripture also points to God condemning this practice.

21 And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD. 22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. 23 Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.
24 ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. 29 For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
30 ‘Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the LORD your God.’”

This practice goes back to the beginning of recorded history.

But you can put all the blame on the Christians , what ever floats your boat.
