Hey ATS, I came across this video of a heart wrenching story that I'm sure many of us have had to endure in our lives.

It is about the loss of a close pet and as some of you may notice some people are far more compassionate towards their animals than just about anything else.

I rarely shed a tear but this video had me all choked up.

I just straight up cried. That almost never happens. Incredibly powerful six minutes.

I just watched this yesterday and cried. I can't remember the last time i cried at anything.

It reminded me of this poem by Jimmy Stewart...

Man this hit me right between the shoulders! A great reflection with both sadness and gratitude. Definitely can water up the eyes and overcome one with empathy, especially those who know.
I have my first dog now and the relationship is more than I expected, and the bond has gratefully set in. Like this guy says, they teach us to love!

When I look at my dog sometimes I envision the day when she will be gone, which is crazy to do since she is only 3, but the point is I am already dreading the day.( I know, can't think like that)
I have had a couple of friends go thru a loss of their 4 legged friends and it was tough, but their approach was one that I would choose to do also and that is when the time comes, I will have a specialist come to our home, and we will relieve my girl of suffering together peacefully, intimately and in my arms. Wow, can't even go there right now.....too upsetting! Now I am off to hug my pets and tell them how much I love em'!

RIP Oden

Peace and salute to our beloved animal friends and companions,
spec
