....The NCPA, where the President is expected to meet representatives from the business community, has also been entirely booked.

The officer said, “Obama’s contingent is huge. There are two jumbo jets coming along with Air Force One, which will be flanked by security jets. There will be 30 to 40 secret service agents, who will arrive before him. The President’s convoy has 45 cars, including the Lincoln Continental in which the President travels.”

Since Obama will stay in a hotel that is on sea front, elaborate coastal security arrangements have been made by the US Navy in consonance with the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard. “There will be US naval ships, along with Indian vessels , patrolling the sea till about 330-km from the shore. This is to negate the possibility of a missile being fired from a distance,” the officer said.

The President will be accompanied by his chefs, not because he would not like to savour Indian cuisine, but to ensure his food is not spiked.

US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are scheduled to land in Mumbai on November 6.

As tent cities go up all over America. Yes, this is a political hit piece. Fits nicely in the "US Political Madness" Forum. Any questions?

Cause it IS madness. And just representative of the reason so many people can't stand government any more. His Majesty Obama.

Yeah. Come on. Show me Bush's lavishness. Cause I'll say the exact same damn thing.

IT SUCKS.

This is why I have deemed them (nearly anyone engaged at the national level in politics since 1900s), the ruling class. Americans just could not handle the responsibilities (well, not all) or have the capacity to maintain themselves freely governed.

So does this guy ever actually spend any time at the White House, you know, I don't know- working on fixing the mess we're in?? He's already been on vacation what 4 or 5 times already and now he's off jet-setting to India??

Doesn't this just reflect security concerns? How on earth can you have POTUS rubbing shoulders with just about anyone at the breakfast buffet? Bush would never have gone to India under the present circumstances.

Well, the one actual legitimate role that is utilized by modern day presidents is that being the chief diplomat to the country. While taking the enormous staff he has, along with chefs, all the navy ships stationed, secret service and on and on, shows that the presidency (pasts included) have become nothing more than a glorified 4-8 year lottery binge with the Peoples monies.

Maybe his mission in Mumbai is to help send more US jobs over there?

This makes Michelle's trip to Spain look like a weekend stay at a Holiday Inn.

I'm really too p_ssed to say any more.

Mr. O,
Do we need to remind you of what happened to one of the recent great African-American mainstream icons, one who almost changed an entire generation, on who spent lavishly and maintained an extensive entourage? Perhaps you remember him? M.C. Hammer

Do you know what it costs to mobilize the Navy?

:shk:

Not nearly as much as it would to charter a 747 or two and bring them to the White House.

call it intuition, call it a 6th sense
or whatever, but I have a bad feeling
about this trip. I think it is a mistake to go.
Or just call me paranoid.

It's like an itch that you scratch and scratch
but it still itches.

But hey, nobody listens to a country-fried
redneck anyway, lmao

I wish them all well

Yes, and he has played over 60 rounds of golf since taking office. Remember ask not what you can do for your country ask what you can do for obama. Do as I say not as I do. ^Y^

What better time to take back the White House? NWIM? (Not brave enough to be more specific, but I'm sure you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about)

I just thought about something! What if all of this mobilizing fleet, booking Taj Majal, Jumbo Jet's full of his closet cartel - escorted by a slew of military jets, etc...What if he's not actually 'going to an event', but 'running from an event'? Like, 'getting out of dodge'?

Right after election day? I'm now weary of the date they've given, Nov 6th. Hmmm, yeah I think that's the date they are giving 'us' and everyone else. Probably more like days earlier. Maybe closer to November 2nd.

Well maybe, but if he were expecting something bad to happen like that he'd probably book an underground bunker stateside.

But in a way you're right, of course...It WOULD be a good time for that nuke stolen at Barksdale to make a showing...

So since everyone decided to react at this with pure outrage, I just have one question, now IF this is true it would be bad. But uh, yeah, did you guys look at those numbers? I mean what are the chances that this isn't a hoax? Or perhaps some sensationalism? To be quite frank I don't know how you can look at that, look at what the article says and not say to yourself "this sounds ridiculous, maybe I should take this with a grain of salt" But hey that's just my two cents.

SG
a very valid point.
we remember operation blackjack
don't we? What's
surprising is just HOW MANY
people he is taking with him.
Something is not right
with this trip. Like I said
I have a bad feeling
on this one. Like
rats abandoning the
sinking ship. This should
be a red flag to everybody.

Man has anyone in politics ever heard of conference calls? Makes no sense to waste so much money on a diplomatic mission. Not to mention the sheer stupidity of announcing the time and place. The community organizer sure is living the sweet life now

Oh no worries, he's got those two, in addition to everything else:

There are two jumbo jets coming along with Air Force One, which will be flanked by security jets.

Touche!
