Wow... So this is what the zionists want! To keep on building settlements until there is no coming back! I don't understand! If it's such a big human rights issue, why aren't we sanctioning this place, threatening war, and then blowing this place up to bits? At least it's a better reason than why the US went to Iraq!!

Any thoughts?

The U.S. goes to war if it has something to gain, not over human rights (although this can be used as an excuse for war). Look how the first Iraq war was about Saddam invading and trying to annex Kuwait, a tiny oil rich country. Was that about the rights of the country of Kuwait or about their oil? Also, we don't go to war with our allies, like Israel over anything unless they threaten our interests. Going to war over the human rights of a "terrorist nation" like Palestine are not in the interest of the United States. Now if they had a resource we wanted and Israel prevented us from taking it, maybe then we would take the side of Palestine. Why don't we act against China for it's human rights violations? Because they are too strong and its not in our interest to do so. Besides what about all the human rights violations committed by the U.S. throughout its history, we don't want that to be brought up, do we?

Hamas and the PLO need to stop firing rockets, Israel needs to stop throwing it's military largess around the region. It's a tit for tat conflict, where both parties are not mature enough to own up to their own failings.

The US always gains in war. It creates jobs and makes people in high places very happy... The "terrorist state" of Israel is the only country to be condemned with so many resolutions and never sanctioned... Yet we focus on Iran's internal issues which is only their business (they are not hurting anyone)...

I say get rid of the government of Israel and let real, normal, non-hating people run the country so that they can get rid of the settlements once and for all.

In order to stop the mutual fighting the zionist regime needs to end. The apartheid needs to end as well. There will be no peace if the zionist regime exists and continues to bulldoze Palestinian homes to put their own "chosen ones" there instead.

How would anyone like coming home and seeing IDF there and bulldozers leveling their home without warning, to make way for someone else...

That just sucks...

I know your stance on this whole issue, so why should this be news to you? Did you really think that something was going to happen and they would be held accountable for their actions? or that they were ever going to give back the land that they stole?

This isn't new.. It is well known that some of the settlements will not be removed... It's part of the peace talks..

Right now they're talking about remaining in 2% of the West Bank, and in return passing over Israeli land (mostly Arab cities in villages and their surrounding areas) to the PA, if I'm not mistaken.

There is a difference between having a stance or an opinion and then someone coming right out in the media and confirming it...

If someone believed that Hitler had his camps in 1943, who would believe him until they found them...

I basically agree that we should place sanctions on Israel. However, concerning Iran, don't they have lots of oil? What better reason to start trouble with them. Of course the potential of creating weapons of mass destruction, esp. nukes, that makes a better excuse for war than any human rights violations doesn't it? Once again, look to the Iraq war for the U.S. motivation when it comes to fighting for any cause.
