China's Answer To Google Maps

My friends of ATS,

It seems China are now doing their own version of Google Maps, which is pretty cool, that is if you can read Chinese lol.

A Chinese government body has released its own online mapping service, designed to compete with Google Earth's popular satellite mapping service.

It seems to be in the early stages and how good it will be compared to Google maps we will know in the future. I think its pretty cool and thought it was worth sharing, if it hasn't been already

It is called "tianditu",supported by the Chinese State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping .
