No offense, but you think more people will listen to people like us, or the talking heads on the boob tube. No one listened to people like us trying to tell people that obama was the exact same as bush in his short political carreer. No they listened to what the TV told em.

this is nothing short of genocide
and mass murder. I am appalled.
I am ashamed to be associated
with a military or a government
who acts in this manner.
This is not the America I thought
I was living in. We need nothing short
of total Revolution and war crimes
tribunals. If they can do this
sort of thing in a foreign country
with no guilt, they def can do it
on 9/11. I am sick to my stomach
right now. I understand war is hell.
But this isn't war. This is just as bad
as the torture chambers the Nazis
used in WW2.

NBC just reported that the pentagon says that the information should have never gotten to the public in the first place....

REALLY? REALLY?

That can't seriously be what they think shouldn't have happened in the first place.... perhaps the most recent place, but not the first place....

If I had the power and authority.
Bradley Manning would be a free man
right now and I would honor him with
the Medal of Honor.
He deserves it in my book.

FREE BRADLEY !!!!

OK, do you even know what genocide is? It's the systematic killing of a group of people. The US Military is not, nor ever was, engaged in that in Iraq.

Mass murder? Did you even take time to read the report, or are you just making a knee jerk, jump to conclusion guess? Do you honestly think that every, single Iraqi civilian was killed by US forces? If you do, I really do feel sorry for you.

People on ATS really need to flush out their headgear and actually take the time to read the report. Of course, that will never happen.

debate between Tea Party and incumbents.

Question to the incumbent: Where were you
when 66,000 civilians were tortured and murdered
in Iraq ?

debate over !!!!

Ever heard of a suicide bomber?
Have you ever seen insurgents fire off mortars which hits civilians? I have.
edit on 22-10-2010 by Styki because: (no reason given)

pardon me for breathing your air sir,
but which agency do you work for ???
Obama's campaign promise,
our troops will come home.

18 months later,
still 56,000 there

that makes Obama
an accessory just as much
as the congress.
They knew what was going on
and did absolutely nothing.

I know you have hunka.

I'm just saying that we can't blame the coalition for every civilian death. On that note, they are responsible for a good amount.

I feel that everyone needs to ask themselves a few questions

Firstly, where does the idea of sodomy with apparatuses from?

Secondly, why didn't the White House release this info before? It would only have strenghtened the "we need to be there to help them" pro-occupation sentiment.

As far as I am concerned, none of this makes sense, so to me this is a conspiracy!

the bureau of investigative journalism wrote to the pentagon and got a response. heres the link

www.iraqwarlogs.com... o-publication-of-the-war-logs/

According to the pentagon, these 400,000 documents wont bring us any new understanding, and we should have been content with previous new stories, books and films that chronical the war.

A small selection of civilian casualties due to the USA:

Japan 1945: 393,367
Vietnam 1955 -1975: 2,000,000+ (needs checked)
Middle east 1990 - present: 100,000+ (and rising, needs checked)

USA Citizens, most of you are decent people, who's hearts are in the right places take a stand for the reputation of your country, yes your troops fight for a reason, but this is unacceptable, for the love of god, show the world you are good people and cry out against this massacre of innocent human beings. Most of your troops will be decent people, some of the above figures probably were unavoidable, but not all.

AL JAZERRA

this thread is a joke and so are the majority of comments made in this thread its pretty clear none of the posters in this thread have any family or friends that have served over there.

theres only one person in this thread that i know has family member in the armed services.

what do you expect the us to do kill every last one of them?

they have been doing it for decades and you think that someone saying " he be nice to your fellow people would have stopped it? "

no.

i hate these threads theres no honesty in here whatsoever

This shouldn't even be an issue in the first place....Meaning it never should have happened. Just to clarify I am talking about the actual crimes that were supposedly committed, I say supposedly because I have not had the liberty to review everything yet, just basing judgment on what I have seen thus far and heard.

So you don't see any problem with the US government, my government, condoning and doing nothing to stop Iraqi on Iraqi violence?

Have you ever heard of the Good Samaritan Law? It's based on a principle... a principle in this country which states that those who are trained to be in charge, are liable when atrocities occur and they are aware of it and don't do anything about it.

sorry for the 1 line here but
the Pentagon can kiss my ***

they only say that cuz they are trying
to cover their own butts by feeding us
the propaganda they want us to see.
Which has absolutely nothing to do
with the truth.

No wonder so many military vets
commit suicide. They can't live
with this. And the top brass
wonders why they are doing it?
