Tea Party my ass. This was nothing other than The Republican Party stealing the anger of a population that was fed up with The Republican Party's own theft of their tax money at gunpoint to bail out the robbers of Wall Street and fraudulently redirecting it back toward electing the very people who stole all the ****ing money!

You want me to support The Tea Party as it is currently constituted?

Do all of the above, do it now, and apologize for attempting to perpetuate the financial **** of this nation.

Publicize the following as your LEAD:

STOP THE LOOTING AND START PROSECUTING

And finally, one more:

ALL FIVE OF THE LARGEST BANKS ARE RESOLVED AS OUR FIRST ACT IN CONGRESS.

They caused it, they pay for it. Period.

This was a very great post by a guy who use to belong to the TPM in the very beginning before he says it was hijacked by the GOP and Big Business. Apparently big business told the GOP either they manipulate the movement or they will cut off funds thus ending the GOP once and for all, so they did as big business said.

its sad that it is working. the final slap in the face is that a party originally named in honor of our revolutionary forefathers fighting taxation will end up completely supporting the current corporatocracy.

To me it seemed like the Tea Party was formed and ready to start yelling at the Obama administration the moment Obama had his first box unpacked in the White House. I still wonder "weren't you the same ones defending the Bush administration??"

The collective cries of "DOOM!" were strangely silent when Bush was signing stimuluses. Hm. Weird.

Great article, btw

To be honest, I didn't watch it yet.

I suck, I know.

Edited: watched both videos. The first one was great, but the second got me riled up! Now I want to go protest somewhere. Only it is dark outside so nobody would see my poster board.

You know, after all the drama with this party and the republicans, I see it all too clear now.
The people running this entire system want chaos.
From both sides.
They want exactly what is happening in France.
They will take away something in order to save money and create "Fiscal Stability"...
Something BIG.
Something that costs alot of money.

And then:
When this election takes place two things will happen, in a nutshell.
The GOP will be elected and then the system will crash, again.
[prediction]People will blame the GOP and chaos will ensue.
There will be no end to the violence.

Then after all the riots, protests and looting, the American public will scream at the gov't to so something.
Violence is the easiest way to control a situation.
The gov't will step in with a 'plan' and people will accept it as "No other choice".[/prediction]

Plain as day.
These elections will start a fire.

I fear you have hit it right on the head. The worst part is that it is working.

It is working.

Poor Lefties! When you get to the camp, we'll give you an extra blanket.
Sometimes democracy actually works. I think it's about to work in a couple of weeks, and we will find that serious leftists are about 18-20% of the population. 20% can be marginalized into oblivion.

You may have to hold out on that blanket.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Besides this guy (the one in the article) was a member of the Tea Party until it was hijacked by big business and GOP, I don't see how he is some 'leftie'.

It actually makes sense to have an uprising in political parties right now.
You might see a few candidates running under the badge "Tea Party", but for the most part, they continue to wear the Republican, Democrat or Independent label.

The only reason I think that all our elections are rigged is because you never see a candidate with the correct political party affiliation.

If you stand for Constitutionalist views, say so and represent your party
If you stand for Libertarian views, say so and represent your party.
If you are a member of the "Tea Party", then change your party name accordingly.

But no.
America only knows two things. Left and Right.
No funding from either sides to actually compete with the HUGE money pits both main parties are.
Both Republicans and Democrats will always win an election.
It is set up that way.

(if it wasn't set up to divide this country, we'd have more average-joe's in Congress)

United we stand. Divided we fall.

I'm just sayin'.

Tea Party = Republican

I have to recognize a master at work when I see one.. and the way the Republican Party took over the Tea Party was superbly done.. it was fascinating to watch. Considering the Tea Party was started in part because of a hatred of the Republican Party .. and now the Republican Party owns the Tea Party.. you cannot deny the skill .. the subtlety .. and now the powerless feeling those of us who had hope now feel..

So, you think 'democracy works' when your chosen party wins? But not when the other party wins?

Hmmmm

also, 18-20 percent? 'serious lefties'? You're going to have to back that up a bit, as well as qualify the terminology.

I am so glad that IGNORANCE is still being prominently displayed on this forum.

No one party has hijacked this "movement".

The DEMON ratic party is running so scared they are doing anything to hijack the election.

The OP's political leanings are fairly well known to those who are not IGNORANT.

Are there prominent Republicans in the movement, most likely.

Not many SOCIALIST's though.

But I know THIS to be TRUE.

What this man says,is entirely accurate.

Keep spreading the IGNORANCE.

So? How many dems were screaming, "Democracy works! Elections are great!" when Obama was elected? Yet were having a foaming-mouth hissy fit when Bush was elected?

Like a tracer round, it points both ways. Both parties say the same thing when their side wins. Nothing new here.

Don't bet on that. I know a lot of people were raising hell when Bush started with the big money give-away. I guess they thought Obama would turn things around. Instead, he just kept it up and gave even more money away.

And the labor unions said to the democrats that there shalt be free healthcare, and there was. Then the labor unions sayeth to the democrats....

There's no sauce on this bologna.

Now - one's views on how the "tea party" has changed since its conception are merely one's views.

If people think voting for "tea party" candidates (in any context) alone is going to net the changes they desire, then they are mistaken. If the republicans think they can spruce themselves up with a dash of lemon and ride the tea-party wave, then they are also sorely mistaken.

While a number of republicans have sided with the "tea party" - to call it a third party is erroneous to begin with. It is a name synonymous with the political conservatives making as much noise as the liberals have been making every election cycle.

You'll find that a number of republicans (and conservatives, in general) have an ideological base in small government. However, there has never been a large drive to shrink the government until now.

And, honestly, how would one go about it? Just slash spending and hand the reigns to the states? That will certainly be an interesting few years to follow.

In the end - the drive is coming from the people. If they think they are electing a robot to office that will respond exactly as their campaign implied - they deserve the disappointment they will receive. If the "tea party" (or those riding its wave) think they are going to get away with merely talking the talk - they've got another thing coming.

As for the topic, I'm not really sure why this implies people in the tea party should participate in the identity property of intercourse.
