Exposing a philosophy that is responsible for much of the problems of the 20th Century may be "stereotyping" for you. For me its a matter of necessity - for the sake of mankinds survival.

stereotyping would mean:
socialists and communists are the bad in the game and the conservatives and capitalists are the good in the game?

i strongly disagree

actually all politics systems tend to run down economics and society

if i just have a look at germany.s hartz iv laws - made up by the SPD and Green - whom we would call the neo-coms in this game - and these days enforced by the CDU - the conservatives and capitalistics in this game

sorry - put them all in a big bag, hit them and you will always hit the right one

i appreciate the idea of teaching somebody to fish so he can make his own fortune.
when looking around - sticking to the image - there is no more places to fish no matter if you are able to fish or just waiting to be fed!

again germany : due to strange strange politics we became a so called low-wage country.
people might be able to survive but not be able to live on their wages these days.

so how to solve that?

On a more general note, all European countries are incredibly rich, just as the USA is incredibly rich and there is no reason at all to be whining. Its all about Context. Spend a week in Africa, that puts the state of Germany or any other Western Country into Context. Even despite East Germany you are certainly still doing fantastic. Have you seen anyone starving lately? I doubt it.

Just thought I'd add that.

On an added note, I am not denying that Climate Change exists - but there is controversy as to its cause. Does heat originate from the Sun or from Evil Capitalists?
edit on 22-10-2010 by Skyfloating because: (no reason given)

dear skyfloating

there is nothing about whining and crying
but in my opinion it is kind of disrespect towards people in germany or the USA to compare their poverty and struggling for living, for educating their children properly, to create a hopefully better future with the poverty and chaos in africa.
these are two different subjects which by no means should be compared.

poverty is always relatively - and yeah i am more a lefty than a righty or conservative.
i am looking with great concern towards this world and the state it is in recently.

germany is on one hand very rich, there are huge amounts of money which are earned by people like josef ackermann, there are huge amounts of money being pump into crashing banks.

and there are 5 euro for each adult on welfare more each month - which is compared to the billions for the banks ridiculous and disrespectful.

i actually hear you shouting as the majority in germany is shouting: "hey than they should get a job"
bravo - good argument!
very good argument!

but nobody knows where those jobs are! how to get them  ………

but everybody tends to forget that tomorrow they can be in the same boat!

this world needs desperately changes ……… in the way how people treat each other, in respect, in economics and in feeding the poor.

poverty has many faces.
one of it shows in the middle of europe and is able to hide
the other one is in the so called 3rd world like africa or india ……
but the faces are not comparable and we have to work to change all the faces of poverty towards the better!

this is something i would call fairness.
human beings are social beings and i for myself wish that everybody has a self determined and happy life without poverty!
