Last/this (for some people) evening a russian rocket motor may have re-entered the Earth's atmosphere over N America, leaving behind a trail of bright fireballs.

The identity of the fireball source has yet to be confirmed, however.

Nice find! This was the one we were discussing the other day... I remember someone saying that due to the color it was more likely to be space junk than to be a meteorite.

I'd pay real money to see a high-res version of that picture, but who am I to be picky? What are the odds that anyone had any kind of camera at the perfect moment?

One day, the ATS picture phone thing is going to turn up something like this.
