I know that and I would like to have it back!
I do get some satisfaction of placing someone,
I am annoyed with,on ignore.
I also liked the ignore feature for possible
troll storage.
Now,all of that is gone...

If someone needs the ignore button its a sign of personal weakness. There are always a few bad apples in the fruit basked. That is just the way it is

franspeakfree,

Who are you??

I know we have been visiting this site for about the same time but I honestly can not say I have ever seen your user name or any of your posts. Strange, you seem nice and intelligent. Why have we never crossed paths....??

......

I'm kidding of course....but had I have put you on ignore (or vice versa) 2 years ago I know I would have missed out on a lot of interesting posts. You do not need an ignore button, not you......

Peace

Hiya Fran, who needs ignore? Some time ago, we'd be on opposite sides and maybe deserving the ignore? If we'd used it we'd be missing out on some good posts in the meantime.

@Mindcrime...I agree

Is the ignore feature now finally gone forever

Yes it is.

It's our feeling that, back when ATS was a more wild and untamed place, the ignore function was an appropriate respite for members. However, we now have a sharp and professional staff who works hard at keeping the streets clean and the lights on. I understand it may cause some friction for those who were accustomed to negating the input of certain members, but please give it time as the ability to consider even the most abrasive contribution -- from its philosophical perspective -- is a critical component of denying ignorance and supporting free-and-open expression.
