Human reef to save the real thing, page 1

An underwater sculpture museum featuring life-sized people has been made in Mexico's Caribbean Sea
to create a new reef for fish, coral and other marine life.

It is hoped the man-made reef, positioned where the natural reef was damaged, will draw some of the thousands of diving tourists who visit Cancun's marine park away from the fragile coral.

The deep-sea museum was sculpted by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor who developed a love for the deep dark blue during his years as a scuba diving instructor.
