I will start with this report:

According to experts sexual assault and date rape are crimes that often go under reported.

The Montgomery County District Attorney says one of six women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime.

www.wncftv.com...

What has the US done to tackle the RAPE issue?

Rape is almost impossible to confirrm, especially in the case where adultery is wide spread throughout a society, where men and women can meet up unreported and have sexual intercourse without any agreement, nor any notification to others of such meetings.

So when you go to a date, and you get raped, how can you confirm it?

In this case, even if others know about the date, then surely, surely, it is still extremely hard to prove whether it was rape or not.

There are many, many fake rape accusations, I had a friend whose girl friend accused him of rape just to get back at him, he now has to go all the way to high court to clear his name of a BS charge. Well I don't know if he did it or not, but I do know they went out and jiggy with it many times over.

So here I will ask ATS, what can we do to help make it easier to destroy rape, and to make it easier for authorities to hold rapists accountable for their crimes, and to stop fake accusations.

Your thoughts are welcome.

No one here can do anything.

Its horrible but part of life. Like murder, theft and dishonesty these things will happen. You have people coming from Islamic countries where the woman raped needs three male witnesses to the crime, to be believed in court. Most of the time she is found at fault.

These people immigrate to our shores in the West and bring the mentality of 2nd class for women with them. Added to our own dysfunctional society where the people who are our supposed leaders are as corrupt as any criminal maybe worse and you find that this type of crime is intertwined in all other crime. Humans are predators and some take this to the extreme. Killing, rape, torture. Its all the same.

Rape is hard to prove. People lie, on both sides. Correct society and these things will fade away. But all I see is things getting worse.

You didn't give any social, nor systematic solutions which could help the situation.

Rather you painted a bleak picture, that things can't get any better in the current scenario.

In regards to the amount of witnesses needed in Islamic nations regarding rape, usually people don't rape, nor have sex in front of others, the only time they do, they do in front of everyone, hence porn.

Its a ridiculous question. No need to give any solutions as they all involve harming our freedoms.

SEX chip implants. There you go. One solution. Is that what you wanted?

So the GOV can monitor your sexual tendencies and acts.

You see, all threads like this do is offer the government ideas on how to screw us over more and more.

Rape will happen forever, unless as a race and people we transcend and evolve. Don't see it happening.

Another great thing we have to live with.

And why should this issue be narrowed down to the United States? It seems to be a constant theme with all your threads. There are a lot more countries that have larger rape issues including the Philippines, and other largely populated nations.

ohh that is an easy one...

here in america,

They tackle the rapist issue like this............

Let the rapists go free ( even the child rapists),
and fill the prisons up with minor drug offenders.

Smoked weed? Go to prison!
Grow a cannabis plant? Go to prison!
Give a sick person some medicine (cannabis) for free? Go to prison!
Have a mushroom in your pocket? Go to prison!
Think for yourself? Go to prison!

Rape your neighbors wife? Go to jail for a day and go see a judge to slap your wrist.
Rape a child? Go to jail for a day and see a judge to get a slap on the wrist.

Most of my family "works for the law" in one way or another,
4 of them are cops/sherriffs, and 3 are judges. (and one becoming a lawyer
)

I see this $*&^ constantly, and that really is ... how it is.

The entire system is completely Fkd.

You believe it is OK for rape victims to suffer and face no justice because of your delusional freedom?

I for one will not sit and watch people get raped everyday because you think your delusional freedom is more important than the safety of the population who helped you build the nation you are living in.

Just because you haven't thought about any solutions because you fear you might loose your freedom (delusional), doesn't mean no one else should discuss the solutions at hand.

Do you fear the discussion of chips implanted behind your neck?

Do you think by discussing it, it might actually come true?

Come on, sexual offenders get a bit more than that. There is a huge difference between rape and an "affair", however there is often a blurred line in between.

For example. The neighbors wife get caught canoodling with her coworker, she cries rape, he gets arrested.

1. US is an empire.

2. US wants to police the world.

3. From 2. lead with example.

4. These kind of forgotten American problems are the soul reason why Obama can't debate Ahmadinejad, and it is embarrassing, I'm just trying to bring to light the problems that your world police nation needs to confront, in order to lead with example.

If the US doesn't lead with example, how do you think the world would perceive the US?

Look, people like you seem to live off attention. I answered your question and you were not happy. Then I gave another more specific answer to which you say I there is NO answer that is correct.

If you want attention ask for it. Dont start stupid threads that people can not give an answer to without you being you.

If you wont sit around like you say:

I for one will not sit and watch people get raped everyday because you think your delusional freedom is more important than the safety of the population who helped you build the nation you are living in.

Then do something....but people like you JUST talk,,,,talk,,,talk no substance no action. Just berate people who answer your thread.

Your a joker who needs people to respond to you. GROW UP.

NO ONE SHOULD GIVE AN ANSWER TO THIS BS THREAD>>>>PERIOD!

You're the one who said there is no answer, and gave one answer which you don't like.

I want to discuss chips.

Do you think chips destroys your delusional freedom?

There are other solutions, there are thousands of solutions, but at least we have a starting point.

By the way, you don't have to reply

I'm pretty sure that there are laws against it, and it is generally frowned upon by society. Aside from that, what do you suggest? Chastity belts? Tracking devices? Castration? Film everybody, all the time?

Remember, more men are raped in the United States every year than women. And most of it happens in prison. If we can't control or stop it in a completely controlled environment, how do you suggest we stop it in free society?

No chips.

Silly idea.

Forget it. I am all for being as private as possible.

Rape is BAD but I dont rape and have not been raped. So for me, out of sight out of mind.

I dont pretend to have everyone elses problems at the forefront of my life. I have my own problems and I really do not care to much for everyone elses. If we are learning anything about our culture and society its look out for number 1 first.

Impose the DEATH sentence for proven rape cases and the DEATH sentence for women who lie.

So DEATH to those men who commit it and DEATH to women who falsely accuse.

If the US doesn't lead with example, how do you think the world would perceive the US?

This quote from you is funny. No one wants the US involved in anything. Corruption and the worlds problems stem from there. The US gov give American citizens a bad name. Like your stupid statement.

Rape is NOT a forgotten problem. Im from the UK and rape is taken quite seriously. I think its a mandatory jail term for rape. Not as long as you would get for stealing money from the bank but still jail time.

Is that the solution?

Castration?

Sure, why not?

We castrate dogs who can't keep their dicks to themselves,
And they don't even destroy the lives of those they "touch".

Seems like a perfectly reasonable tactic to prevent more sexual predators from emerging.

Start whackin off their organs, eventually other douchebags will be more apt to think twice about their pathetic actions.

So it is ok to murder people legally (deathrow) for breaking the laws,
but it's not ok to simply whack off the balls/organs of someone who feels it ok to destroy lives with them, for their own pleasure.

I say go for it,
Castrate the fn pigs.

One piece (of many pieces) is to eliminate the social stigma that accompanies rape and the 'blame the victim' mentality that contributes to the reason why many rapes go unreported.

Another piece (of many pieces) is to increase the consequences for those who falsely report rape. It should be a crime (of weight) to do so knowingly.

This is simple...the "US" can do nothing about it. People of the US and the world in general can do alot bout it. People can educate themselves, hold themselves accountable for their actions, employ self control and in general show each other the respecct that each of us deserve. Asking others, the authorities or the government in any form will never have any gathering influence or change anything. I suppose it starts with ourselves personally, and hopefully our collective actions will make inroads to eliminating those types of behaviors.

Is that the solution?

The fact of the matter is that human mating has always been a subtle and problematic issue, and it hasn't gotten any easier since we decided that people should select their own mates, rather than have them strictly assigned for life by a council of tribal elders. People get intoxicated. People give and get mixed signals. People change their minds after the "deal." Miscommunication can be rampant. Sex is a negotiation, after all. Sometimes it doesn't go well. Men are generally physically stronger than women. That's a fact of biology.

Harsher penalties often do more damage than good, since a convicted felon charged and convicted of rape could be motivated to kill his victim, rather than risk having her testify. Harsher penalties also might completely ruin the lives of men who get caught up in a miscommunication, or by a vengeful female.

The solution is to try and train men to correctly read a woman's signals, and respect a boundary when presented with it. And try and train women to understand what they're getting into, and not play with fire.

There's no technology available to stop it. No law that can be passed or punishment given, unless we go back to arranged marriages and no sex outside of marriage, punishable by mutilation or death. If you want that, go live in Iraq or Afghanistan. Good luck with it.
