This was one of 3 stories I wrote for HHWC that didn't make the cut due to word count. This story like the one I ended up entering has the Sssilly monkey character in it. I think he will be a re-occurring character, at least in the darker works; though this one was more of a dark comedy.

hope you liked!

wow so I guess people really weren't into this one...
its a shame too because I never saw the response of my old story before it got canned, and got no response to this one so as far as learning from feedback goes I'm learning nothing!
oh well on to the next story i suppose...

I think it is interesting, I dont know exactly what to think of it though.
Ill tell you my impression from reading it was probably based on my predisposition toward government in general specifically the new world order.

To me I was imaging some government stooge being ritualistically tortured and sacrificed by mechanical means, like something from the SAW series.
The torture being performed by a luciferian cult run by Lord Rothschild who is the lap dog of Lucifer himself ..lol
Thats my take on it, I'm probably way off, I apologize if that's the case I just woke up.
Ill reread it to see if I missed something.

nope, you're pretty spot on actually, you picked up on everything that was there, thank you for the feedback

I tried to include enough information to trigger the appropriate Jungian archetypes in peoples heads while being vague enough that would allow their imaginations to fill in the story, for the record I like the way you filled in the blanks.

Also, because I wrote it for the reader to join the dots, I'm hoping that people can't really interpret it incorrectly, as long as it makes 'sense' to them at the end of reading s'all good

I think it is interesting, I dont know exactly what to think of it though.

It is a little bizarre, I'd been reading some 'Invisibles', and researching Mk Ultra, turns out that this kind of thing did happen back in the 1800's, and top officials from all fields would attend these sick parties, I just imagined it brought into the modern time-frame.

The only differences between your interpretation and mine, is that I see an unfortunate teenager who was out trick or treating when abducted - as being the 'subject', and mi-lord is an alien of some kind.

Thank you for taking the time to read it

Archetypes are, according to Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, innate universal psychic dispositions that form the substrate from which the basic symbols or representations of unconscious experience emerge. 'The archetype is a tendency to form such representations of a motif - representations that can vary a great deal in detail without losing their basic pattern...They are indeed an instinctive trend '

Anyone who wants to know the human psyche will learn next to nothing from experimental psychology. He would be better advised to abandon exact science, put away his scholar's gown, bid farewell to his study, and wander with human heart through the world. There in the horrors of prisons, lunatic asylums and hospitals, in drab suburban pubs, in brothels and gambling-hells, in the salons of the elegant, the Stock Exchanges, socialist meetings, churches, revivalist gatherings and ecstatic sects, through love and hate, through the experience of passion in every form in his own body, he would reap richer stores of knowledge than text-books a foot thick could give him, and he will know how to doctor the sick with a real knowledge of the human soul. -- Carl Jung

Can you tell me where I can find out more about these rituals from the 1800s?
I wasn't aware such events were actually known to have taken place. I feel that such rituals are still practiced abeit undercover of darkness. However I would very much appreciate it if you could point me in the direction of the appropriate reading material where these events may have taken place. Thanks.

PS: I would like to read more of your work.
I too often work in the same way, writing as to allow the reader to fill the gaps and in a sense never be wrong with their interpretation. It's a writing style that seems to be absent in many works these days.

well I have to come clean and admit I can't remember how much of what I was reading was fact/fiction, but if you're more looking for inspiration than factually solid history, I can recommend some books. haha actually I don't know of any specific 'parties' from the 1800's...I just think there were...

Some of these are considered factual but if taken too seriously could mess up your day..so remember to take it all with a pinch of salt

there's nothing "appropriate" about this book I can mention whatsoever, check it out at your own risk, I've read things inspired by this story which were enough to put me off reading the original.

Psychopaths Bible

I've got to mention I've only read Hyatt's book all the way through, and just researched the others on the recommendation of a favorite author of mine. I do sometimes like to read about deranged things, but I prefer the psychedelic to the grotesque. Sorry I couldn't answer your question but I hope these are of use to you all the same

I thought this story sounded familiar to the halloween contest entry! Thanks for sharing, MKUltra is one of my favorite subjects to incororate into my own stories. Endless ways to use it in story.

I totally agree with you that the ultra projects (or any for that matter) make for amazing sources for story writing, but after a year of exposure to ultra-research..I need a break!

The next story I post will definitely be light hearted..

Thanks for the feedback
