Right it is located in the sci.fi category. The strange thing is that the scifi provides Hq pictures and the real mission provides blurry videos.

Real Apollo missions provided high-rez photography of the Moon from orbit (Mapping cameras and Panoramic cameras) as well as high-rez photos from the surface of the Moon. (Video capabilities in those days was understandably blurry)

In fact, it was one of those high-rez Apollo Panoramic camera images that I and ArMap used to debunk the "spaceship" lying on the Moon: AS15-P-9625

The Panoramic cameras had the ground resolution of about 1m.

Exactly.

Besides which, the Saturn V rocket originally intended for for the canceled Apollo 20 mission was eventually used to launch Skylab on May 14, 1973. There was no other Saturn V rocket available: they are not the sort of thing one just has hanging around as a spare.


The Apollo 20 mission never happened. Neither did 18 or 19.
