Interesting news, especially if we add more to it. This is from Haaretz:

Turkey held military drill with China, after canceling with Israel; cooperation also reflected in weapons deals, with Iran buying from China mainly missile technology.

www.haaretz.com...

And this is from defence.pk:

The Obama administration protested Turkey's military cooperation with Iran after it was reported that the Chinese fighter planes were sent to Turkey via Pakistan and Iran.

www.defence.pk...

Pakistan is playing both sides of the game again, just like against USSR.

More and more countries are leaving the bullies behind and moving forward, the reality is, sooner or later the bullies will be all by themselves and will try to use force to make friends

This is only my second post so if I did something wrong please correct me. I just found an odd coincidence between what this had to say, www.abovetopsecret.com...
and the fact that the news article said something about weapons deals between Iran and China. Things that make you go hmmmm.

Is it just me, or is China making friends with a lot of Muslim countries that are angry at the USA and Israel? Sudan, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan - who else?

This smells like the cold war part II, except that this time the US doesn't have the funds, military power, nor economy to actually support it... I feel a shift in world power and dominance... FINALLY!

It's about time that the US gets a taste of their own medicine! I hope Israel gets what they deserve as well...

I believe China is doing powershift, there are various others news that show China doing this.
adding some more China activity
-China protest USA selling weapon to Taiwan (booing at USA)
-The Chinese fishing boat incident with Japan (Japan wastested ?)
-China Spratly claim, they even have their military leader on table with USA (both kinda visitor/observer though), China have claim on Spratly too (China - USA why are you here ?)
-Small China dispute with India (I forgot about what, sorry)
-US defense chief invited to China early next year (Hey USA, you come here, we talk about you selling gun to Taiwan)
-Younger official taking power Link
-USA may lift China arms embargo Link USA, you sell to Taiwan guns, sell to us too
-China official visit to DPRK, power shift in North Korea.coming soon. "Kim Il Sung would live forever in the hearts of the people of the two countries, Zhou said." means - Kim, youre old, we want younger people to take over, like us - "The latest round of personnel changes kicked off in November last year, two months after the Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th CPCCC opened, It is considered a tradition that personnel adjustments of ministerial and provincial-level officials occur in the middle of the two CPC national congresses"
-Yuan hit new high compared to Dollar, Yuan reform = bad news USA - signs of China leaving dollar ? Link

Now, whos left untouched ? All were small things, but big move starts with small things. I sense China is changing everything and the reason can be quite easy to see.

I believe the main reason all these things happen - younger officials coming up, a new era.

I might be wrong thinking Baba Vanga might be right.

Chinese authorities are increasingly concerned about Muslim extremists , and terrorism.
To this end they are drilling their air force in long range pre-emptive strikes against distant targets .
The U.S is going to sell them C130's to back-up their fighters

China's fear of Islam has caused it to be overly sensitized to Islamic worship. China has made criminal a great deal of the Islamic education and practice that it believes fill Uyghur hearts and minds with reactionary and "separatist" thoughts. The government has banned informal religious schools for young children. Courses in the Koran for elementary and middle school students are illegal. And mosque construction that flourished after 1978 is subject to Chinese government clamp-downs to control Islam's influence.
China's brutal attempts to crush Uyghur anti-government activities, suppress Islam and stifle the development of Uyghur leaders, give rise to the very activities China attempts to subvert. While from the outside it appears that China is misguided in its approach, Xinjiang is now the only major region of the Turkic-Muslim lands of Central Asia that is not independent. China has succeeded in preventing the emergence of charismatic Uyghur leaders like Tibet's Dalai Lama, or of a successful independence movement.
However, should China ever fissure like the Soviet Union, the Uyghurs, with no leadership and continued inter-oasis rivalries could possibly devolve into a Tajikistan-style civil war. China is banking that wealth will bring peace to Xinjiang. But its heavy-handed tactics to control the Uyghurs do not give peace a chance and do not give the Uyghurs peace.

We all know that China has little tolerance for religion , so I can't see many Muslim countries suddenly getting
overly friendly towards them .....

Turkey likes to sit on the fence , and geographically , that fence runs right through their country.

China has always been friendly with muslims

One of China's National Hero's who is also China's greatest Admiral was a muslim

en.wikipedia.org...

Zheng He was originally named 'Ma He' and was born in 1371.[1] He was the second son of a Muslim family which also had four daughters, from Kunyang, present day Jinning, just south of Kunming near the southwest corner of Lake Dian in Yunnan.

Islam is recognized as a religion in China

Islam in China is as old as buddhism, many famous chinese in the past like Zheng he have all been muslim

en.wikipedia.org...

Islam in China has a rich heritage. China has some of the oldest Muslim history, dating back to as early as 650,[1] Sa`ad ibn Abi Waqqas, was sent as an official envoy to Emperor Gaozong during Caliph Uthman's era. Throughout the history of Islam in China, Chinese Muslims have influenced the course of Chinese history.

Over the last twenty years a wide range of Islamic educational opportunities have been developed to meet the needs of China’s Muslim population. In addition to mosque schools, government Islamic colleges, and independent Islamic colleges, a growing number of students have gone overseas to continue their studies at international Islamic universities in Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran, and Malaysia.[9]

There is no active insurgency by the muslims in China

am i the only one who thinks "so?" surely other countries have indirectly aided the U.S., but nobody seems to think it news worthy when the U.S. or other countries do the same thing.

this just smells of the same old 'we can do it because it's us, but your not allowed to'

Are you one of those people who actually believe you have the freedom to choose your government in USA..

Tell me this, how much have your voting affected the totalitarian actions of the American government?

Actually China wasn't facing any issues with Muslims until the West tried to scare China in to joining this delusional war against terror which the West is so desperately loosing.

Any outbreak of violence can be connected to the West trying to push China to join them.

They are even trying to push China to implement sanctions on Iran, and have created domestic laws which would force China to follow Western mentality, rather than its own unique characteristics.

The world would be an ugly place if we saw Western Democracies and life style everywhere.

For an additional and hopefully useful information :
US will not take part in Turkey's October military drills

The drills are not secret. Maybe China's participation was not announced but it was not going to remain secret. It has some significance since I believe it's the first time China is in Anatolian Eagle. That chinese planes refueled in Iran is really of marginal importance and nothing surprising.

China has expressed the desire to increase its military capability for projecting force. They have recently been working on building top of the line aircraft carriers to move their navy from brown water(local shores) to blue water(international waterways).

They recently bought a retired aircraft carrier from Russia, with the intent on taking it to a port and turning it into a casino. The moment the vessel entered chinese waters, it was taken to a different location and fixed up a bit. Its being used as a training platform for their version of possible carrier air wings.

Sure and the the American covert operations in south america which overthrew and caused wars didn't kill anyone... Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq... Those were all important wars that the US just absolutely needed to fight as the "world police"... Those lives lost don't count at all...

At least China keeps things within or at their borders (Tibet and Taiwan)...
