What a fascinating post. It is important to consider that the speed of an original idea is instantaneous- that every idea is, in itself, a big-bang
of sorts! Suppose that our perception of the universe has originated from such a literal and figurative "burst" of inspiration! Now, consider
human ideas and ideals, and our imagination's input and our own creative thoughts- to put those same ideas into motion can and may take generations,
even millennia to see into fruition! Equality, love, freedom- these are just a few examples of ideals that humans have yet to universally grasp.
This is not unlike the amount of time that it takes for a star's light to reach our eyes here on earth! Perhaps equally perplexing is the speed and
complexity of a thought's vs. light's tangency: Consider a single idea and a single beam of light- now, direct that idea away from its origin and
you'll have an infinite number of topics and questions that stem from the original idea! Redirect and disperse that original beam of light from the
origin and you're left with an infinite spectrum of colors. Refract that same light beam, and the speed of exchange will change based on the medium-
just as a thought or idea will slow or hasten based on its passing from individual to individual! What a strange and thought-provoking comparison!
Cheers.
