Is the "Wheel of Fortune" being controlled?

And now for some lighthearted conspiracy theory.

I usually watch "Wheel of Fortune" with the sound muted as I listen to my headphones - while I'm on the treadmill. I need the distraction of music AND TV while I workout - otherwise it would be way too boring and monotonous.

In all my days watching the show, I've NEVER ONCE seen Pat Sajak land on "Bankruptcy" or "Lose a Turn" when he gives the wheel a final spin. Why is that? Has he mastered the wheel to the point that he can make it land wherever he wants to, or is the wheel controlled by a sophisticated algorithmic equation to determine precisely where it will land? Or, perhaps there's no conspiracy here at all and they simply edit those moments out of the broadcast altogether?

Is the wheel under control?

I have seen it happen a few times. I must admit it doesn't happen as often as it does with the players though. I have often wondered about that wheel being rigged as well as the big wheel on The Price is Right.

ive noticed that the hot chick always wins. pat gets pretty anxious to go stand next to them and put his arm around their waist, ive even noticed several girls give kind of a confused look and step slightly away from him. if its a non important round and the ugly chick or the guy wins, make note of how far away he stands from them...

if you take this stance from the beginning, you will notice the small subtleties they do to give a person significant advantages, and they bankrupt others when they are on a roll. you just have to pick out who u think will win before the game starts and it will become more apparant.

watch the wheel in slow motion or frame by frame (or sometimes you dont even need to slow it down) to see the wheel stop more abruptly sometimes. this has nothing to do with how hard the person spins it, as power only decides how fast it initially spins, but it should be stopping the same everytime, and have a uniform resistence, which it clearly does not.

also notice the difference in how long it spins when a small frail girl spins it, then how long it spins when the 300 pound lumberjack next to her spins it. usually no difference. one may grab the wheel on a further peg and give it a really big go, but notice how it never keeps the initial inertia going, you can usually tell when the resistence kicks in, and thats when it will have a slightly more ubrupt stop usually on a bankrupt or lose a turn.

i also notice they seem to go to an extra effort to film those dramatic stops where it ALMOST bankrupts (you know..when the arrow is still leaning on the little peg, this is where you notice the wheel come to those more slow non-resistant stops. its a very inconsistent wheel thats for sure.

LOL. Good catch. Yeah, it's probably a retake. He has probably hit them a few times over the years, but they just call "Cut!" and do the take over again.

To this date, I believe there has only been one contestant who has won the million dollar prize.

After the contestant won, Pat Sajak can be heard saying, "How did this happen?"

Makes you wonder - he looked shocked - it was almost as if he was implying that she won despite it being rigged. Maybe the wheel with the envelope was broken?

She wasn't supposed to land on the million dollar envelope, was she Pat?

Funny. I remember the german version of Wheel of Fortune (ran for about 20 years, was called "Gluecksrad") and it was the same with the host, when he gave the wheel a spin, it NEVER landed on one of the bad fields.
But there were difference between people giving it a spin. There were people who didn't even manage to give the wheel a full 360, while others spun it around like crazy. That at least never seemed fixed.
When the host spun it, it was usually a close zoom on the wheel, so it looked like they cut that in (Gluecksrad was never aired live as far as i know, don't know how that is in the US)

I think the funniest thing about the german version was, that one of the two host was an ex-porn actor who sometimes seemed to like hit on the more beautiful female contestants

I imagine Pat has spun that wheel so many times that he can make it land on anything he wants. I haven't seen that show in years. I didn't even know it was still on TV.

Every so called reality tv shows are fake, sames goes with amercia got talent and there voting process
300 million Americans and yet only half a 12 to 13 million in each state and tell me how long do you think a real election process takes a day?

Most of american tv personalty game shows, talent shows are rigged and fake i recommended stop watching them, i haven't watched the TV in a quite while, i only watch it for the weather and traffic report but that's it

Wheel Of Fortune, Catchphrase, Family Fortunes and The Price Is Right!

There's loads of them out there on TV where the producers could easily FIX things. Even the phone in vote shows like factor, they could tell us anything as we don't actually know the number of votes each contestant got.

Did you see Wheel of Fortune on Tuesday - April 2, 2013? The contestant in the middle won. It was a male. It was not difficult for him. The contestant who took a turn before him won absolutely nothing, she was given $1,000 at the end. Sometime in the middle of the show, he actually complimented Pat Sajak on what a terrific host he is. Then in the bonus round he solved the puzzle - and it just so happened that he won $100,000. It appears that this guy has connections.
