Solicitor General Ted Olson, perhaps best known the man whose wife, Barbara Olson, perished on the 9-11 flight that crashed into the Pentagon, has
submitted his resignation.
Olson was appointed Solicitor General on June 11, 2001 by John Ashcroft. He has argued dozens of cases before the Supreme Court on behalf of the
White House, inlcuding lawsuits brought by families of some prisoners at Guantanamo Bay and hearings regarding Dick Cheney's energy task force.
