I had to laugh at the bit when he says "We Cannot Sustain" And then it drops.

The presidency thingo couldn't sustain its attachment to the podium, or what ever it is.

I agree.

I believe that it is an omen.

But if Obama is out, someone even worse may come in!

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

yep, special emphasis on that

"We can not sustain !!!!"

divine intervention maybe ????
the timing could not have been better
if it was timed for a hollywood movie.

I have no idea why but
every time I see Obama,
he reminds me of that lil
red headed kid that
use to be on the cover
of "MAD" magazine.
anybody know who I'm
talking bout???

Thanks for the laugh.

It's hardly an Obama blunder. It's not like he tripped over something and knocked it off himself, but I thought that he handled it very well. Apparently the audience thought so too.

I thought he handled it well too.
It was just the timing of the thing
dropping and the words he was speaking
at the time of the drop.

another thing that makes this even weirder
is the fact that back in Feb of this year,
it was decided to remove the seal from
the Pres podium at events.

really strange indeed,
things that make you go
hmmmmm

I suppose this is what passes for threads nowadays.

It's not even as funny as President Ford falling. So what, cheap laughs gets it?

Oh, and by the way about the teleprompters...

He handled it well. He kept the jokes going and killed time long enough for the teleprompter to go back to where he left off in his speech. He definately needs the teleprompter. And he's right ... someone back stage was probably sweating it out. Considering how these DC politicians are .. wonder if the guy still has a job today. Anyways ... he handled it well.

I wondered if it is. I DO believe in omens.
Then again .. sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Reagan had Alzheimer's.

'member that? It affects one's memory. And he was old too.

Obama has no excuses. He is The One.

Roger Ailes, President of Fox News Channel and former Political advisor to Nixon, Reagan and G HW Bush came up with the infamous "Orchestra Pit Theorey" for sensational news coverage...which we sometimes call "distraction" from issues.

Ailes also came up with the "orchestra pit theory" regarding sensationalist political coverage in the news media, with the question:

If you have two guys on a stage and one guy says, 'I have a solution to the Middle East problem,' and the other guy falls in the orchestra pit, who do you think is going to be on the evening news?
