Where did you read that "the same people" are upset by this?

The question is, where is the outrage from those who loudly denounced the burning of Qurans and the drawing of Muhammad?

The thing I believe to be most notable is that true Christians have the ability to speak out against what they believe to be a a despicable attack on their religion, without threatening to cause harm to people who played no role in the act and without threatening to lop off anyone's head!

No you would not. There would be demonstrations out on thr streets burning US Flags, What would happen if christians done the exact same thing, whom took offence to this? There would be police on the streets, to stop them from demonstrating and burning the US Flag and other Flags, Double Standards in my opinion.

It is incitred to hatred, Incitred to creat demonstrations and violence. It is as a assaniation attempt as it would have happenned to the US President.

Some people in the US really make me sick to my stomache nowadys. And this only proves it. So much for americans having Moralles in the world as it is eh.

Makes one wonder, why this is not headline news and who is behind it not being reported!

I see why it's offensive to people of faith. I really do. But the fact that there are pictures of a man sad and suffering all over the place* is offensive to me, but I don't see a call to scream at you to take them down and get the government to remove them or anything. I guess what I meant to say is that I don't see what's insulting about it. What's evil and immoral. Or something.

More importantly what's an "..........I .......t ......."? I can't really decipher anything from that, I'm afraid.

As much as images of Mohammad or certain images of Jesus may be offensive to some ... religion, and the acts carried out in the name of religion are offensive to others.

Actually, a huge proportion of the Muslim* community would let it go. They'd say "Man, that sucks, you shouldn't be doing that." and move on.

Meanwhile, I at least would be condemning the HELL out of the actions of those getting violent over Muhammed in the same situation. And if they were burning American flags in the streets in this nation, you can bet the police would be all over that, with violence.

AS to how I would react if something near and dear to my heart were being depicted this way without any harm being done to the actual entity? I'd frown and say "I wish you wouldn't do that," and move on. I'd be offended, I might protest the thoughts behind the piece -- which I would respect you all for, were that what you were doing instead of getting up in arms about thoughts that likely had nothing to DO with the piece -- but I would not call the government immoral and tasteless for doing so.

The only thing I find upsetting about this are those that are upset over it who cares? What does it matter? What has your getting mad over it done? All getting angry over this piece of "art" has done at all, is get you upset and this guy in the headlines. Guess what the artist got exactly what he wanted, you angry and himself in the headlines. The only thing you have done by getting angry has ensured is that the next time is the picture in question will be more racy and vile than this one was.

Now do you really think those in charge of that Gallery would have allowed People to Write all over the so called Holy Koran? No they woud have not.

It is the exact same thing with this So called Art. It demonisez Christ. Why pay for this, have you not better things to do with your money than attack Christianity? Would you do the exact same thing to Mohammed? No you would not.

I don't even know what point I made you're replying to. Is it that there would be Muslims who weren't crying death to america? Because that's a bare bones fact. I personally know two who would do exactly what I described (well, one who would laugh and say it was hilarious and awesome, but he's a different matter), and it's well known that most Muslims in the western world are not violent extremists.

Nor do I know what "clemtic" means.

Also there are MANY art exhibits that have a sexual nature in public places, this is far from the only one. Your only so upset because you have been told to be upset about seeing things like this. I was born and raised in the Catholic school system, this doesn't bother me (I also do not support organized religion) and I don't see why this makes me such an "immoral" person.

Your using the term immoral where you mean offensive and the only reason this seems so offensive is because you are holding "Jesus" and these Catholic teachings above other things.

Thank you for explaining what I REALLY meant. But you are wrong. I said immoral and I meant immoral. Ofcourse I hold Jesus and GOD'S teachings above not just 'other' things, but 'everything'. I am not upset about this because I have been told to, but because (as I already said) I find it extremely offensive.

I think perhaps if we forgot about worshiping false idols and concentrated on living our lives with MORALS that would cause us to find pornographic images distasteful, than this world would be a better place. Just my opinion, you don't have to agree but I pray that at least some of the readers here will.

No, they aren't violent yet. What did we see with draw muhammed day........we saw countries shutting down website access, violence, death threats........all for drawing a pic, not a pic like this but just a cartoon................we didn't see violence here because the person starting it was put into hiding by the FBI..........

Besides this is not about Muslims or Islam.

It is about an attack on the Destolation of A Holy Image, which is Christ himself. And if you are defending this, yu should be ashamed of yourself, weither your religous or not.
