How do you want to live free?
Lets assume that some excuse has cropped up to go live in the wilderness.
0. you can get a plot of land, in your ideal climate
1. you can be there and can live by yourself happily in co-operation with nature
2. you can make a list of qualities you'd like in a partner and they appear
3. you can also define a group of people to be with you

To be free; do practice choice.
Pick an option or a few,
and write a response:

0: you'd prefer to live as you do now.
1: you want to do it alone with the wild.
2: you'd like to do it with a sexual partner.
3: you want to do it in a group or tribe.

Satisfy desire to answer!
In your response include:
Why? How? What?

Why being things like emotions, feelings and goals you have about your dream.
How being methods in which you'll attain it, what will you change?
What being the actual dream and it's contents, what's going on there?

I'd like to live on the coast because I think that is the easiest climate (until you get the hurricanes I suppose). Perhaps I would pick a place in the pacific islands, and I'd want to live fairy close to a mountain, so that I could hike up it if a tsunami came.

It would be nice if I could be with a partner that Loves me, and honestly, that is all I would really need, I don't think I would die if I never saw anyone else. I wouldn't be apposed to living near (not directly next to, but near) some people that I thought were chill.

I'd probably build myself a hut and weave together a hammock.
It would be good if there were a variety of fruit and edible plants to choose from.
I'd probably make a couple of pots if I found some inland clay.
Gotta make spears to go fishing.

How would you get there?
Are you thinking of using a boat?

Oh and BTW, recently I was reading,
that living at higher latitudes makes peoples heads bigger.
So is why I've been mainly looking at temeperate areas.

that's certainly nice.

groups, tribes or families can maintain connections with others for mutual benefit.

certainly you can do some gardening,
getting all the various plants you'd like.

I've made some bowls and cups in a furnace I made in nearby woods.

Gotta make spears to go fishing.

can also make nets, which might be easier on long term.

Well, I want people around. I want to be able to have a conversation with something other than my dogs. I want to share the work of life. I want to be able to hear a child's laughter. I want to be able to sleep knowing someone has my back.

I'm a grandmother. Some jobs of survival I simply can't do anymore. But know how I have. I'd like to have a small community of hard working individuals with the good of the community in mind. Personally, I'd work till I dropped. I want others willing to give it their all too, and not just for themselves.

I'd like to see a diverse community who could garden, hunt, build, defend, scout, cook, craft, etc. I'd like an herbalist with holistic knowledge, a medic or nurse (or doctor even).

In the world of plenty we live in right now I'm a solitary individual, but in a SHTF world I'd want people around!

Yes, we can get together in circles.

socializing is a major component of tribal living.
like having a party every day,
with people you enjoy.

I want to share the work of life.

certainly tribe members can share and trade.
with barter calculation we can insure fairness.

I want to be able to hear a child's laughter.

Yes, reproduction is the main goal of any system,
so there should be plenty of children around.
My partner is currently in a 2 year program,
about early childhood education.

I want to be able to sleep knowing someone has my back.

We can have concentric rings of security.

Just like a cell which has nucleus, and other enclosed structures.

A pagan proverb be "we are a circle, within a circle"

To make people accountable,
there needs to be a method of calculating the value of products or services,
this can be done with barter-calculation (time+mass)^chakra/abundance*utility=price

Yes, there can be different tasks available,
and people can choose to do them.

Those with more experience or knowledge in a task,
such as those which are dedicated professionals,
as they are operating at a higher chakra,
their efforts are worth more that task.

In the world of plenty we live in right now I'm a solitary individual,

Yes, it's best to start getting together now,
can simply live in close proximity to each other,
such as being within walking distance,
while practicing skills for country living,
then can move to country,
incrementally at a pace that's comfortable.

I'd chose to live where I am. East Central Florida. Although I may have to worry about the odd hurricane The rivers and ocean will produce far more food of the animal variety than the wilderness would I believe.

I'd choose to live with a tribal group over a solitary or single family unit. For the simple reason that some tasks require more man/woman power than a single family unit could provide. ie: seasonal harvest of fruits, pine nuts, large catches of fish etc..
