Wow i am blown away by the stories in this thread. In a good way of course

When i was 15 i had a spiritual experience of my own, i just sort of put it away because whoever i tried to explain it too would just say ya and not really understand. I guess its something you have to experience to sort of grip.

I went to sleep like any other night and for some reason i felt a very strange feeling come over me. I wasn't scared or frightened just very still. My bedroom door opened and a glowing figure extremely bright entered my room it seemed to resemble my father (deceased) but i couldn't see a face just like i knew it was him for some reason. "It"stood there for what seemed like 10-15 seconds then threw a glowing coin towards my direction, and disappeared.

Now being 21 and for some reason being overwhelmed with the experience i had i am just looking for answers, i know i feel something different than my peers its just something i cant put into words. Granted i know its not really like your stories, it gave me that feeling you speak of. This was like no dream i have ever had still to this day i remember it like it just happened. Maybe i can get some guidance or understanding. Either way i have enjoyed the story Jason.

ok so was it a spirtial or phyical awaking.. the two are diffrent but is sound like a most amazing story
you should be taking notes and listening to what you are saying or talk into a dicterphone.

I came back to this thread today for some reason.....
I was updating my signature and decided to take a look at this thread and noticed I just stopped posting at all....

I have actually thought about talking into a recorder....just to keep all the thoughts/ideas that flow out sometimes....because they are random....even now....after almost 11 years......when it "flows" it flows and when it "doesn't"......it really doesn't at all!

To answer another question....about whether this was a physical or a spiritual experience.....
I really don't have a definitive answer for that question.....though I would say that my not having an answer either way sort of is the answer in it's own way......It was a sort of "merger" of both.....if that makes sense.....

That is why I felt that "collective-ness" feeling.....that ALL things....of both the 'physical' and the 'spiritual' are.....(?)....I'm looking for words to describe that......language doesn't really do it justice....



By posting on this thread of mine....I am kind of hoping to bump it so some others may read it.....I actually enjoyed sharing it and share it often with online friends.....It is also a good way to get them to visit ATS.....

(I just make sure I warn them that to get to anything of substance here at ATS.....you REALLY have to dig through the heaps of garbage.....BUT....there is also a TON of good info here......and the chance to get a sort of feel for the thoughts/lines of thinking of others........which helps in other situations that I will not discuss here because that isn't what this thread was about....

That's cool that you had an OBE with your bro along with the experience. It makes it a bit more physical (what some people call "real").

Interesting that you talk about seeing the world differently. It reminds me of my own "awakenings" where my awareness would be increased many times and I would develop an increased ability to "discern" or see through things. Watching movies became difficult as I couldn't suspend my disbelief anymore due to noticing all the props and bad acting. To some extent these abilities have faded. They seem to be most potent when the "waves of awareness" hit.

I'm not sure if it's an external process or something internal that caused it for me. But for you and your bro to experience something like that simultaneously makes it sound a bit more external.
