What is this aircraft?, page 1

Seems real, and the background looks like Area 51 a little. This reminds me of the UCAV, but not the long of wings? Any suggestions? Dosn't it seem to be hovering because of the plane alignment and the runway?

now it is the best picture of snowbird i have ever seen, it is probably a fkae pi because it is so close and so good but it is snowbird. and it is hovering

yes, it's a DarkStar... a robotic recon plane.

Pictures like this have circulated in trade mags like Aviation Week for years... so it's not really so secret.

that is not the snowbird the snow bird is a dimond shape craft with a wing fused body that is not the snowbird.

well from that angle you cant tell if it is diamond shaped it looks diamond shaped from that angle

Dark Star is just a set of wings with an enclosed computer system in the front basically. There's really nothing special about it. MGJ, the pic is real.

I have heard that the project has been canceled though.

well now i know its real but from that angle it looks like a fake snowbird i have only seen front pictures of the darkstar

Looks like a picture of the Darkstar at Edwards when it wa being tested. The program ended after the Darkstar became the DarkSplat on the runway here.

The Dark Star program was canceled, but vague snippets of a stealthy high altitude drone were used in Iraq. It could be a follow on project
