Mate,

This may be off topic, but if you want to meet up for a coffee, I'll be up in Perth in a few weeks, would like to hear the story from you.

I'm near Busselton, south of Perth. Send me a u2u if it's cool.

Cheers
Shane

sounds weird and strange ?, what was **SNIP**:S:S:S , sorry but in ur statement u did to many things a normal person would not do if the door-bell rang at 12 am :S

**SNIP** Are you serious? Im a skeptic on almost everything here, as I said in the OP

And define normal. Just because you wouldnt do something, does not mean everyone else will do the same as you. Go troll elsewhere

hey Oz, you a Radio head fan?

"Jumped in the river what did I see? black eyed angels swam with me" - Pyramid Song by Thom Yorke.

Somehow can't see these little buggers qualifying as angels though

Oz, did you notice the BEKs skin at all? did it look pale and veiny or was it too dark to see? Did you notice anything wrong or normal with the shape of the nose and eyes themselves?

Nope, that appeared all normal. Although, when he grinned, there was something "not right" about it

Thanks. Brian Bethel also noticed a grin and that something was wrong with it. It must have been terrifying, but I know I would love an encounter just to experience it for myself.

so i wonder what happens if you accept to take 1 kid and not the other.

"alright but your little buddy has to stay out here."

will they get all frantic or what?

what if you pretended to not speak english or something? would they know you are lying?

i also wonder how they would react if somebody answered the door with a gun or a large mean dog. i dont say this to sound macho, i just think a normal 12-13 year old kid would be frightened by these things.

there seems to be very strict interactive limits. i wonder if it would change things to throw them an offer, and switch things up a bit. rather than simply deciding yes or no, strike some sort of deal, "ok ill let you in if ______" who knows they might just be bound to it like a Genie or something.

just a few things to keep in mind if anybody runs into them.

After reading thru 17 pages of this thread I am convinced that these were merely young hybrid alien kids on drugs with dilated pupils wearing black contacts who were looking for their kitten so they kicked the street lights out and had a friend with an air rifle shoot out your porch light right as you turned it on and they wanted to go into your house and rob, torture and kill you and steal your soul.

I am convinced that is what most people would gather if they bothered to read the entire thread. Most people see the title then click "reply" without reading the OP just so they can gain their 20 postings to start a new thread (without using the search function) about something that has been discussed over and over.

Take the advice of other posters OWM, lock up at nite and shield yourself if you have another encounter.

That's an awesome idea to enact if anyone encounters these BEKs after reading this thread. I for one would one of them inside on the conditions that one of the kids stays outside.

What I would like to do is try and rebuke them using a Holy psalm and see what happens , just for curiosities sake. If they are evil they will flinch or will react in a negative way.

I now have a camera charged and on hand near the front door....just in case!

Also isn't it weird that they travel in pairs, and never one at a time in any such place? they seem to need to be part of a group or pair instead of just singular. I am wondering if there is anything in folklore or history that these BEKs match up to .

i think your right, there may be something to do with them being in pairs. something struck me in Oz's story as notable, and that was when kid#2 spoke up and answered that they were "16!".

notice how that kid answered for the other one, this is somewhat odd specially if you subscribe to the notion that they may be telepathic. one would assume they would have been able to relay that from one to the other, similar to how he may or may not have intercepted OZ's thought about the weapons. the other thing is how the first seemingly overconfident Kid#1 hesitated when Oz threw him the curveball and asked their age. Kid #2's answer seemed like damage control, which leads me to believe his sole purpose was to be receptive where kid#1 could not.

suggesting to me that alone, they are very vulnerable. and more prone to inconsistencies.

i would be willing to bet that it would take many more than just 2 BEK's to deceive a pair of people answering the door. if it takes at least 2 just to deceive 1 person, i think they would need a whole group of receptive kids in the background. perhaps that is why the guy who allegedly gave one a ride had nothing happen, because he had another person with him in the car.

further speculating, if i had to guess, i would say they arent able to coordinate whatever they are each doing well. for instance it would seem to me that they are either doing 1 of 3 things: deceiving, inducing fear, or reading thoughts. perhaps they are unable to multitask, which is why it not only takes multiple kids, but aggitates them when you start asking questions or disrupting their "flow"

I think you are bang on , They must be telepathic to some degree, especially when they told Oz "We don't have any weapons" , they read his mind.

This reminds me of the MIB big time.

Ive read alot of storys about the 'black eyed kid' phenomena, like as you said you cant explain it but an instant fear "fight-or-flight" response kicks in, in all cases ive read its allways the flight option. In all occasions aswell the 'BEKs' constantly demand access to a persons home or even vehicle and become hostile when denied.
And for those who say these could have been kids on drugs which explained behaviour and pupils, witnesses report that they are completely lacking pupils and irises, just black, and solid black contact lenses are nowhere near large enough to cover the whole eye, allthough i know there are some specialist websites that might do something similar, there not made to measure there just 1 size, and cost about $300+ a pair.
From my opinion all people have a psychic ability to some extent, and the initial fear is your ESP telling you its bad, and whatever there intentions are are bad.
Who knows what these things are, ive read theorys from either aliens disguising there appearance, a hybird, a ghost or spirit, even vampires (who knows myths all start from somewhere).
If your storys true you did the right thing and lucky to be alive!

I agree, the BEKs are more akin to the Vampyre than anything else. They need an invitation to gain access, it looks like they cannot attack a person outside a house. Could "House" refer to our bodies too? as containers, as a well kept house, they need to enter with permission? why not attack outside?

They are mostly seen at night, although some people have seen them in the daytime - but they are often spotted wearing dark clothing , and even a mask like quality, like melted wax on their face and neck.

They travel in pairs, and often appear as kids, maybe they can shapeshift too? they are solid in nature and not transparent like spirits.

Shining white teeth have been noted, abnormally white. Hypnotic and telepathic abilities. They vanish in an instant too.

The despair and fright people feel, the flight or fight reflexes tell me they have a hard time acting "Human" and keeping their composure. They are not very good at playing human. I wonder if they have ever been successful in gaining what they want?

Why don't they seem to ever approach children? Why only adults?

Oz, answering the door at midnight was prolly your first mistake...but seeing as you did, you were smart not to let them in. It's a gripping story with lots of "hmmm's..." and our instincts are usually spot on, so if you KNEW those smiles were just not right they probably weren't. Vampires, ET's, drugged up kids-doesn't matter...what matters is that your hairs stood up and you deflected to sound reasoning...

Suggestion: Talk to your neighbors, every one of them, and ask them if they had any run-ins with thesw kids...odds are you wouldn't know unless you ask...

The whole kitten thing is nonsense. At midnight?? Even if it WERE true about the kitten, any kid I know and myself when I was that age would never have rang the doorbell of a house at midnight. We woulda just snuck in and if we got caught, we would have explained.

These kids COULD have been armed. These kids COULD have meant you harm.

Or, they could have been ET's who would have given you first access to their story and you could have become rich and famous, lol!

anyway, again, good story...keep your eye out for these guys again...and talk to your neighbors...

funny you mention that.

in the follow up thread to this a user posted a story about their neighbor encountering these same kids, and he did exactly that....pulled out his shotgun and the kids just laughed at him.

then they said "you wouldnt shoot a couple of kids now would ha pappy?" and advanced towards him and he shut his garage, and then they came up and rang his doorbell and peered into his window. his encounter was at about 4 am.

i know of no 13 year olds that would take on a 12 gauge without even sweating it. do you?

All right, NOW I'm annoyed.

Let's put all the paranormal and supernatural stuff aside for a minute and look at some perfectly good reasons for a grown man to be afraid of two teenagers, especially 2 that show up at his house at midnight with a lame excuse about looking for a lost kitten.

After nearly a decade in which violent-crime rates fell or were stable throughout the USA, the FBI reported last month that there was a 2.5% rise last year in violent crimes, which include homicides, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults. Here and in cities across the nation — including Washington, Milwaukee and Boston — police are linking the increase to a growing problem: Crime by kids as young as 10, many of whom have been recruited by gangs.
from here.

Government data showed that one in eight violent crimes, more than a quarter of a million, were committed by school-age offenders in the year to April. Muggings committed by under-16s, including robberies and snatch thefts, doubled in one year to 55,000. Children also committed more than 70,000 offences of stranger violence, a 17 per cent increase on the previous year, according to the British Crime Survey.
from here.

Of the 2,840 crimes where the suspect was under 10, about half were cases of arson or criminal damage. There were also 66 sexual offences, including a number of sexual assaults on children under 13. The figures also revealed children too young to be charged were suspected of harassment, wounding and burglary. They come just three days after a boy was convicting of killing a man when he was just ten years old. The child, now 12, was part of a gang five who stoned a father-of-two to death as he played cricket with his son.
from here.

Analyses of police crime statistics from four states, to be presented at a conference in Brisbane tomorrow, show violent crime by young people is on the rise, with marked increases in offences committed by girls and by children of both sexes under 14. The proportion of violent crime committed by youth is also on the rise. "We are seeing consistent trends indicating young people are becoming more violent," said Paul Mazerolle, director of Griffith University's Centre for Ethics, Law, Justice and Governance, who compiled the figures.
from here.

Now, I don't know about you, but after reading this stuff it seems to me that any adult who is alone and unarmed should more likely be tossed into an institution if they aren't afraid of two teenagers who show up at their house late at night.

So.. can we get back to the BEK discussion?
