Fish traps

Here are some fish traps I found. Check your local laws before using these. You don't want to be arrested or fined. Also, some of these look dangerous. Be careful and make sure that nobody gets hurt.

2 liter bottle trap. Might be good for catching bait.


"Jugging" another use for a pop bottle

It always irks me that the folks on Survivor NEVER use a fish trap.... I wonder if they are not allowed or something. Just seems to be an easy solution.

They also never seem to kill any indigenous wildlife game either....

I noticed. Maybe it's because the animal rights people would raise a fuss.

electricity and explosives work best. but you want to have a really good fish finder so you're not wasting your time

I've heard that. I saw an episode of 1,000 ways to die where a guy got fried fishing with electricity. Not sure I'd try it.
