In a survival situation, shelter is very important. The following videos show how to make your own bushcraft shelters. I'll include a few examples. I don't live in an area where I can test these out myself, however, they look like they would work. One important thing:you always want to smoke the shelter out before you use it to get rid of bugs. Be very careful when doing this. You don't want to burn it down.

It was roomy enough for 2 of us and our gear and we could stand up in it.

If you knew the day we had then that is a loaded question.

It took about 2 hours but we got lucky and stumbled across a perfect location.We built it on a nice rock formation.
The back only shows above ground...the inside had another 4 feet underground,which is why we could stand up in it.
