Thanks for your opinion. But ignorance is only "spread" if there is an absence of accessible logical data/information that leads to the truth in any
matter. We form our "truths" based on the empirical knowledge attained by our society at its relative level of advancement at any given time. If the
data is incomplete then how can we put the reject stamp on it?
Do we have enough empirical knowledge to seal the lid on the validity of Titor and his information? e.g., Do we know for certain how the laser light
shown in his picture truly reacts in this type of environment? Is the light beginning to curve as it goes just beyond the window (i.e. not inside the
vehicle - it's hard to tell with this pixelated image), therefore you wouldn't see any "lensing" or distortion of the background anyway?
Look, I don't know if I believe the whole Titor story either and it appears ultra-hokey taken at face value. But I don't agree with acting like the
cardinals who refused to look through Galileo's telescope and at least consider that this may be a true event that is no less deserving of critical
thinking and debate than any other controversial topics here. If anything, I'd find it beneath the "self-respect" and "dignity" of this forum to
not allow this information to be discussed, as in any other fringe topic, unless and until it could be unequivocally proven beyond a shadow of a doubt
that it was a hoax. At that point, maybe the value in discussing it would be how to avoid such hoaxes in the future. As far as the "fool" deserving
of any "contempt" as you put it, I'd say THAT is the true ignorance that needs to be denied here. My $0.02 of course.
