I was just at the Latest Earthquakes M3.0 + Page and noticed these earthquakes/aftershocks. I looked at the map of where they are located, and it seems to be right in between California, and Nevada.

3.3 2010/09/30 18:15:47 37.150 -117.395 9.8 14 km ( 9 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
3.5 2010/09/30 16:57:56 37.142 -117.378 8.7 13 km ( 8 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
3.6 2010/09/30 14:49:47 37.138 -117.385 7.9 12 km ( 8 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
3.8 2010/09/30 10:17:01 37.164 -117.379 11.3 15 km ( 9 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
3.6 2010/09/30 09:17:09 37.168 -117.374 13.6 15 km ( 10 mi) N of Scottys Castle, CA
3.1 2010/09/30 08:51:53 37.143 -117.388 1.5 13 km ( 8 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
3.3 2010/09/30 08:41:59 37.160 -117.375 10.0 15 km ( 9 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
3.2 2010/09/30 08:38:48 37.167 -117.388 0.0 16 km ( 10 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA
4.4 2010/09/30 08:37:35 37.139 -117.380 8.5 12 km ( 8 mi) NNW of Scottys Castle, CA

Seems odd to me.

The first thing that came into my head when I saw the location of these earthquakes/aftershocks, was how i've heard about California breaking off from the US, and either sinking, or becoming an Island.

But how likely that is? Im not sure, but you never know.

My first thought was it was deliberate since both CA and NV are bankrupt. I hope HAARP is still busy rearranging the jet stream and hasnt gone to work on earthquakes.

Hey, thanks for your reply.

I found it odd as-well. It's nothing but desert out there.

Their is a Fault Zone that is close by called the Furnace Creek Fault Zone

I've never heard of it before until now. Maybe the fault zone is begining to feel more and more weak from all the aftershocks and such?.

Thanks for posting that link.

I found this to be interesting;

Long Valley was formed 760,000 years ago when a huge volcanic eruption released very hot ash that later cooled to form the Bishop tuff that is common to the area. The eruption was so colossal that the magma chamber under the now destroyed volcano was significantly emptied to the point of collapse. The collapse itself caused an even larger secondary eruption of pyroclastic ash that burned and buried thousands of square miles. Ash from this eruption blanketed much of the western part of what is now the United States. Geologists call topographic depressions formed in this manner calderas.

I also forgot about the Hot Springs that are near where I live. We have alot of Geo Thermal Plants set up and being set up here aswell.

No, sounds really funny though!
But really, in the 60's geosciences made leaps and bounds with plate tectonics theory. It's really the grand unifying theory of geology. Could it be wrong? Sure, I guess...I'm willing to admit if I am wrong...

When Cali drops in, U2U me a big fat and I'll eat the crow!
