It's called Social Democracy, which is the middle road between Capitalism and Socialism. Some people see it as reforming capitalism others see it as a stepping stone to Socialism.

And I never said Left-wing Nationalism had anything to do with Socialism, I was just saying I support the ideals of Left-wing nationalism alongside that of Social Democracy.

Kriss donlaid, aged 15, tortured, blinded, castrated, burned alive by Muslim street Jihadists
I knew someone who was chained to the back of a car & dragged screaming up & down the road outside his parents house (I suspect this real event was the inspiration for a plot device in the tv series "Shameless"). He died. Apparently he was thought to be a grass.
I remember another tale about a grass also: some girl got doused in petrol, set alight & had her skin scrubbed off with a yard-brush. Eventually, she died too.
Someone I know got kidnapped in Ghana. They cut off her eyelids & left her tied up in the sun b/c she wouldn't tell them who to contact for a ransom. She's blind.
Someone I met had been shot through the wrists & ankles & had his feet burned on an electric fire to force him to hand over a lot of T&C forbidden unmentionables.
I have been beaten almost to death (it cost grands to fly me to a hospital that thankfully saved my kidneys) whilst being robbed.
My point? Some people are proper arseholes. In fact, the bulk of humanity (including you & I) are some type of arsehole, even if we're sweet as the day is long to others faces. We all find some justification for it & if it wasn't 1 thing, then it'd be another.
So dont be trying to tar all Muslims with the same brush just b/c some of them are as bad as the worst of any other group of people. That, mate, is whats called "xenophobia" @best & may be based on racism @worst.

I agree with everything the OP says in the thread Im linking www.abovetopsecret.com...

Whether you like them or not the EDL are against the islamification of Britain, its the politically correct morons who caused this mess in the first place, with mass immagration and putting an extra burden on hospitals, schools, jobs and housing what did they think would happen?.

Our government is supposed to look after its citizens first and not the rest of the worlds problems. I dont have a problem with foreigners, I like to visit new places. But my problem begins when people come into the host country and start telling them this is how they should live, or they should change this and that laws to suit the immigrants, rather then themselves actually making an effort to integrate into society.

Why is every muslim country a #hole? is there any that you would actually want to live in? for me definately not. So why they want to change Britain into the same #hole they came from is beyond me.

Fact is we are being out bred and maybe it does not affect you now, but with that kind of statistic further on down the line, the future of the country will change dramatically.

I posted these videos on a thread detailing how the Tea Party is looking to link up with the EDL. The Guardian is a respected UK newspaper and their investigation might give you a good insight into who and what the EDL is.

It appears to me that we are no longer allowed to defend our culture or our nation. They label Nationalists and other Patriots who simply want to protect and preserve their customs as radicals and the people have fallen for it. It has been the same since the Communists, they just want to destroy culture, destroy borders and destroy identity and they cover it up using politically correct.

It's all through the use of a Globalist Neoliberal economic policy of exploitation, outsourcing and dependency combined with Social liberalism to force politically correct and multicultural society on us all. Maybe we don't want that, maybe we want freedom of speech and we want to keep our culture.

Radicals or not I am beginning to warm up to the message of the EDL. We must retake our countries.

tolerance and knowledge- so the social experiment is to see
how far it can be stretched until things snap?
like regular life wasnt challenging enough , lets throw in a bucket load
of customs and language to contend with ..
then clampdown on the mess with police.

Hmmm the problem is, as I see it, the EDL, and other groups like them, target the immigrants when it isn't the immigrants causing the problems.

The root of the problem is why these people feel the need to move to another country in the first place. These groups just target the result not the problem.

Yes it's frustrating having to deal with new cultures and languages, pain the ass when you can't understand the guy at the store, but getting angry at the immigrant is useless. The more the immigrant feels alienated by the country they are in the more they will digress into themselves and their own culture. If you want them to assimilate you need to change YOUR attitudes.

You seem to have missed my point. The OP was asking Britains and the EDL is an English focused political organisation, so why ask the British? Better the OP's question is focussed on the English. What do they think about the EDL.

Or is the OP thinking that Britains are the same as English.

I am delighed that you have brought into the whole concept of ATS and welcome serious discussion and debate.

And I am proud to be English. Not British.

The comments I made in my last post, still stand. Why ask the British what they think about the EDL. Does the OP think that British and English are interchangeable. Just ask a loyalist in Northern Ireland if they are Irish or Northern Irish?

ATS is about serious debate in a civil and considered environment and listening to other viewpoints, if if they are opposite to your view. One of the points raised in threads on ATS is about the use of labels and what they mean, and I learnt to change how I describe people and cultures, and for me, you can not interchange British and English.
