Where has the rest gone and how will it effect the gulf? When I was a commercial fisherman, a common practice practice was to disperse small spills with common dish soap (most commonly dawn) so not to get a costly fine, the oil was not gone just dispersed. BP did the exact same thing on a large scale with industrial solvents, if they had not more oil could have been collected.

I think I remember seeing the "official" story as the oil is all gone, yeah right because that much oil just disappears and I also wonder if anything else is going on now that the media has turned a blind eye to the GoM.

Most likely the 800,000 barrel figure is high and the 4,000,000 barrel estimate a bold face lie. The gulf will most likely never recover completly and will not be healthy in even our childrens life time.

GO..??? Oh it's still there, you'll see it washing up on our beaches for the next 10 years, tasting it in your seafood and scraping it off our feet after taking a stroll on the beach.

BP used 1.8 million gallons of surface dispersants and unknow amount of below surface dispersants at the well head. BP claims they believe the dipersants will break the oil down enough for microbes to consume it. Not even goverment officals what us to know the extent of the spill, maybe if people knew the truth things would change for the better.

There's a reason why it's now illegal to dig on the beaches around the gulf affected
Oh, and all those chemicals they sprayed on to sink it. Because if nobody sees it they dont have to pay for it, who cares if they completely destroy the ecosystem and economy of the gulf, I mean: the alternative is for the evil socialist government to pick on the poor misunderstood victim oil barrons known as BP.
