If you take a close look at his threads, a lot of them were designed to cause anger and hatred towards America (and the west), he just tried to word them cleverly so it wasn't as apparent.

He was a trouble maker pure and simple, and he was caught out.

I don't think we are supposed to discuss member banning anyway (I'm just trying to shed some light for you, assuming I am right).

He was a teenager, living in New Zealand, afaik. Anger and hatred towards the West, give me a break! He was a kid who'd had some pretty traumatic experiences courtesy of the West, especially America.
I can certainly understand why he felt as he did. and so he gets slammed and banned!
Paranoia makes me ill, and ATS seems full of it.
Shame.

He was a kid (I didnt know that), and he was exercising his free speech. Maybe he needed a community and really liked it here, and felt happy here, yet it was taken away from him. Now he feels rejected and will have more hate and resentment. Is that how you nurture someone in the ATS community?

This whole place is a learning process. I learned a lot from ATS and matured, and my thoughts changed since i been a member since 2004 (old id: TACHYON). Maybe he didn't know how to handle it. I think his ban needs to be undone.

The bottom line is that we have no actual purpose in Afghanistan. We originally requested permission to enter the country in order to search for a single terrorist. It was granted. So we brought in the troops and did a search. After the first year, it was obvious that there was no man to be found.

But then, our real intentions became clear and we invaded the country. It turns out the Bush administration had decided to use the ploy of "searching" for Osama Bin Laden to enact plans to oust the Taliban from power while we were there. So they opened the door and we came flooding on in. A decade later, what have we accomplished?

Did we find the terrorist? Of course not. Just like we never found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Both were lies used to justify two invasions that the Bush family had been planning since the 1980's.

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto once said "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass". He understood that Americans would defend their country against all else. Why do Afghanis not get the same right?
