"Release the flying monkeys!"

* Phoenix cackles *

"What do you mean we don't have any? What about sharks with frickin' lazor beams? No? Budget cuts? What do you mean budget cuts?"

* Phoenix mumbles *

"Well what do we have?"

My guess is that he/she was changing something in their profile and somehow when they submitted the changes it conflicted with some other code and made the change to all profiles instead. That's just a wild guess though.

That is awesome, did you just change your information today, resulting in this incident?

thats possible. error happened at the same time the changes were made could explain it.

Also it could of been a hack, and that hack chose a random profile to copy.

Either or, its good to see the problem is fixed, but if its the hack then i hope the lynch mob starts marching.

Hey, several of my flags and stars just dissapeared. I have less now than I did 10 minutes ago. I think around 5 flags and 30 - 40 stars are missing.

the DB was backed up. SO said that there would be some issues with post counts, flags, and stars.

That's what I was thinking, poor guy changes his avi and somehow manages to bring all this upon us.

Could be worse, I only changed mine this morning.

Any how, happy b'day for a couple of weeks ljtg123

We recovered from a very-recent backup of the member information portion of the database, and all appears to be back to normal.

Which would mean some Stars and Flags would be missing.

Doesn't really make sense to me. How could one member have the access to modify the entire member table like that?

And if something was wonky in the code, shouldn't it have been doing it every time *any* member made a change to their profile?

Since the issue is solved, and speculation serves no point, the thread is now closed.

Thanks for your patience on this, and all's well that ends well.
