The point I'm trying to make here is that the Qu'ran has a different place in the Islamic Faith then the Bible does in Christian Faith.

I'm not giving any justification for burning anything- I am totally against the burning of any religious book ... Just outlining a key misunderstanding in the whole debate- the idea that burning a Bible to Christians is not the same as burning a Qu'ran to Muslims.

I disagree...

You are correct in that the Quran is their direct line... I can agree...

How is that different than the Bible? Im not talking about Catholics here who pray to every saint and listen to the priest over the bible.

To a Christian, A follower of Jesus, the Bible is the word. Same as the Quran. They are both books that teach the religion written within, and are referenced on a daily basis by many who follow. If I go upstairs right now, My wife has a bible sitting in the shelf on the headboard of our bed. It is her direct line to God.

Mein gott...

Why can't we all agree that burning books is bad in general?
