Ohio democrat curses voters who oppose health care law

The head of the Ohio Democratic Party is brushing off his description of Tea Partiers and other opponents of President Obama's health care law as "#ers," saying he shares a penchant for blurting with Vice President Biden.

"It is what it is," Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern told Fox News regarding his Monday appearance at an endorsement event by the United Steelworkers for several Ohio Democrats, including Gov. Ted Strickland.

"Vice President Biden and I have a way with words," Redfern said, conjuring up the vice president's description this spring of the signing of the health care law
as a "big #ing deal."

I find it amusing that name calling is the best defense being offered lately.

It's not a surprise really. That's all that's came from the Dems and other anti-tea party people since the beginning. Character assassination is the best they can do, so that's what they stick to. Look at all the threads here that involve the tea parties in any way. People show up just so they can do some name-calling and character assassination and little else. It's not shocking to see someone from congress doing the same.

I will be happy to see the tea party gain some steam from this incident, along with the many others that have taken place.

If nothing else happens, I want to see the tea party throw the two 'gangs' into disarray. They really are just one gang. I really believe that the only way to strip the power of the Republicrat/Demoplicans is through a revolution of sorts, but I don't think it can be done through the voting booth.

S&F!

How will pushing a group of people that seem to think the N-word is funny, commonplace, acceptable free speech from a politician? Is the N-word OK but the F word is not? I do not understand why anyone would hope one vulgarity replaces another.

I agree completely. We will see after November. I think that could be the straw that breaks this camels back.

How dare that Anti-American socialist Muslim loving liberal call those that opposed giving their fellow citizens at least basic health care a name. Just because many of those opposed already had government provided health care or put corporate profit before the health of others doesn't mean they deserve such name calling. The fact that some claimed that others less fortunate simply didn't deserve health care doesn't mean they should be called names either. Besides, there will be a special place in Hell for these people that opposed helping their fellow men due to greed or selflessness. .

We the #ers, -- oh, I mean people of the United State of America should not be forced to buy anything mandated by the govenment. period. The states have health care for the poor. The Federal govenment does not have the power to force us #ers to buy everyone insurance.

All of them say things in private the would make a sailor blush. They are using all of us.

I don't understand how someone can be happy with the status quo, with the exception of those who are feeble of mind or those that are easily conned by the most blatant of snake oil salesmen.

I don't think that one party is better than any other in the end. But, as long as there are people that shop on QVC, there will be people voting for Republicans and Democrats.

You also might be surprised if you tried to start your own party with whatever ideals you have. If you start to get any groundswell of popularity amongst the voting public, we will be hearing all sorts of vulgarity coming 'from you', matters not that you didn't say any of it! They will tar and feather you and say that you did it to yourself with your own stick!

You seem to contradict yourself. I never said one thing about PRIVATE statements. I am talking about public statemtnst, just as you are. Why are you so upset over the F word but you think the party of the N word is going to save you from that kind of moral depravity? Then you go on about the status quo and how something new needs to come along. I thought you said the Tea Party? Which Republican that they are running is not a Rupublican?

Pardon me, but you don't seem to understand....

I don't give a *blank* what they say. They can say the 'F'word all they want in public or private. Either or all three parties do it and they use the 'N' word too, whether you like to believe it or not.

I know, because I am of African descent and I can pass for a white guy. I grew up in a hillbilly community in the Appalachians. I have heard the 'N' word plenty of times from people that YOU would least expect it from. I emphasized YOU, because I am not the naive one here, I know better.

So.... No, I am not contradicting myself here. I want the existing parties to lose their stranglehold on our political system. I don't care how much they put their feet in their mouths.

Please show me where I have said something different.

Things are moving way too fast for me. I don't know if #ers is supposed to offend me or not. I can't keep up with the meaning of words anymore.
I still thought health care meant doctors and nurses and medicine. Apparently, it now means insurance.
I've got to get the knack of this new-fangled doublespeak. I don't have a clue as to what's going on.

See what you said there? You hope THIS INCIDENT will help the Tea Party take out the Dems and Repubs. Since the N-word is coming from the Republicans IN THE TEA PARTY, I do not understand. Why would you hope THIS INCIDENT DOES ANYTHING if you do not actually care about it?

I am sorry if this offends you but you seem to have difficulty grasping this.

I know what I said. I said this.....

I want to see the tea party throw the two 'gangs' into disarray

You turned it into this....

You hope THIS INCIDENT will help the Tea Party take out the Dems and Repubs.

I never said I hope the 'N' word spouting Republicans in the tea party gain control, that is you saying that for me.

No thanks.

I do care that both of the parties that have controlled us for 150 straight years lose that power, I am not pushing for the tea party to control us...

Now Butcher, I'm from Appalachia too, and in the interest of PC and my sensibilities, I request that hillbilly be the "H" word or Scotch-Irish, if you prefer.

I like how this discussion on a Dem using vulgarities to describe those that are against forced purchase of products turned into the "supposed" use of the N word by someone else.

Hey CIA, oooh is that what your initials for your avatar come out to be?

By the way CIA, can you provide audio or video to confirm your allegations. There is a $100,000 reward for it at the signing of the HC bill, if you can come up with proof.

No? Thought not. But we do have video proof of THIS incident.

But I was expecting some more of the same as to a reply, just wanted it to end.
Star that.

Obviously, no offense meant and none taken. Just highlighting the fact that "F" word doesn't excuse "N" word doesn't excuse "H" word. It's apparent that you were "raised good mannered and growed up fine".

It's everyone's right to be charitable or not. Everyone has the freedom to be charitable or not.

If I'm not then call me a "#er", maybe even call me a "mother #er!"

I can live with that because for the moment I am still free. Once the health care bill kicks in I will be forced to pay a tax to live in the country. Not a tax against income I earn, but a tax to just to be alive in the USA.

If you want to be charitable no one is stopping you. Pay for all the people to have healthcare you want, but why is it right to take away my freedom for your ideals? Burn in hell one person said? ok. That's my issue, not yours. You libs want to tell everyone how they should eat, how much they should give up for the needy, how much they should spend on security for this country. What gives you the right to steal my liberty for YOUR causes?!

I don’t know how to put this in a way that a lib would understand, but understand this:
Money = A portion of your life.

Huh? What? You say?
Yeah. If you earn money you have to give up a portion of your life to do it. You have to go to work. Then there is the effort you expend while you are there. When you STEAL (yes steal) someone’s money because you think it would better suit someone else, you are stealing days off their life. You are literally stealing life from one person to give to another. Somehow it makes you an awful heartless person to want to actually keep your own life for yourself.

So call me a “#er” if you want, but I’m keeping my own “#ing” life. If you feel so strongly about this cause, then you give double and I’ll give nothing. What? You don’t like that idea? Why not? Are you “greedy”? Greedy with your life, like we are accused of being. It’s your choice what to do, just leave us out of it. That is why we have a right to LIBERTY in this country. LIBERTY is freedom. It is your personal right to have your OWN LIFE and PROPERTY.

Agreed!

Very well put. I hope that more people wake up and pull off the blinders that have been placed over their eyes.
