There is a DUMB, ICBM site or VIP bunker there. The radio towers give it away. Look for sets of three relitively closely spaced towers with a lot of UHF and microwave horns/dishes on them. Then look for a long driveway with a little bit more than normal telecom security added.

The excerpt in this post is why I never use Wiki-anything for citations.

Osceola is in northwest Wisconsin, the other side of the state from where it is claimed to be.

Cool chinese lanterns.

Too bad someone at a UFO convention was able to fool everyone there with them.

This is such a common, dismissive excuse for anything seen at night in the sky.

I have lived in the US my whole life. I used to spend a small fortune every year on fireworks. I have been to huge warehouses stocked top to bottom, every square inch, with fireworks of every possible kind and not once have I ever seen a "Chinese Lantern".

For something that seems to be so commonplace it is amazing I have never seen one.

Neither have I since they aren't Fireworks

They are exactly what the name states... Lanterns

Chinese Lanterns

I've seen these for sale all over the place at stores like Bed Bath & Beyond, Pier 1, Cost +, Cracker Barrel various Craft stores and just about every Asian Market I have ever been in. They really aren't hard to find.

I still think the Pheonix lights were more convincing... Did I say lights? I meant flares..

I live just a few minutes south of that area. My first winter here I was driving toward West bend and had the largest wolf jump right across in front of my car. It was in broad daylight and it was HUGE. I am absolutely 100% sure it was a wolf. I was able to watch it run up a hill.
