Was thinking that Light from it's own PoV is going nowhere in no time. Does that make it eternal?
And is something that is eternal(light or otherwise) really alive or dead? Is it somewhere in between somehow?

From my PoV there is consciousness or awareness, is this eternal? And is it alive or dead or somewhere in between?

I have no idea - the words in your post sound like arcing wires in my mind. I have no idea. What. You. Ever. Asked.

"The living at least know that
they are not dead. The dead
don't even know that."

Light is perfectly aware of the surfaces it refracts off of,
and the medium that it passes through.
We can tell the history of a star
just by reading it's light.

Lies - that implies 1 + 1 KNOWS it equals 2. Because an outcome is expected does not mean the elements involved are aware of themselves.

Who are you, scary !!!

OK Badwolf, I'll elaborate on it:

The Eternal, that which has no beginning and no end, can it be considered alive or dead or somehwere in between?

The same could be said about all the births on this planet.

How did you trick me into almost making a single line response, I don't know, but now I'm suspicious of your motives. I didn't think anyone asked yes/no questions anymore. That's what it is. This question, or counter-statement of yours implys the answer. ''Because an outcome is expected does not mean the elements involved are aware of themselves.'' All of that can be true, and light can still be aware. Much more aware than we are.

Only if "eternity" is the same thing as "infinite time".
If "eternity" means "something beyond time", then no.

Ahh that makes it 100% clearer. Thanks.

But I don't get it.

you're asking if everything and nothing (The eternal) can contain blue or red..

Or perhaps pink.

The eternal? Then let me bring my point to yours -

It has no quality to explain itself as living - It has no blue.
It has no quality to explain itself as dead- it has no red.
It cannot therefore have an intermediate quality of 'somewhere in between.' - or it has no hot pink..

Eternity is not conscious. Only a conscious can assume such an absurd concept.

Oh, well,
when you put it that way
yes you're right. One would be failed
out of University for saying that Light was eternal conciousness.

Light has a lot to answer for in this case! How can it be aware, and this is what I would ask at first, hoping to let the rest follow in proper order

Eternity is a descriptive term, so eternity can not be conscious. However Consciousness can be eternal.

However Consciousness can be eternal.

Ahh In that I can agree -
Most definitely.

let me do clarify however - My opinion that consciousness is eternal, is not an admission that eternity is conscious.

Just that I believe that our thoughts from out first to our last as a species, can be connected.

There is a difference.

Human species subconscious is more than just us having a kip, imo.

So if Consciousness is eternal, is it living or dead or beyond the description of either? It's curious how the body has been birthed and will wither, yet consciousness is there before and after.

Eternal means living forever.

So, yes, the eternal will live forever.

Where do you have that definiton from?

This is from Merriam-Webster:

Definition of ETERNAL
1a : having infinite duration : everlasting b : of or relating to eternity c : characterized by abiding fellowship with God
2a : continued without intermission : perpetual b : seemingly endless
3archaic : infernal
4: valid or existing at all times : timeless
— eter·nal·ize\-nə-ˌlīz\ transitive verb
— eter·nal·ly\-nəl-ē\ adverb
— eter·nal·ness noun

It doesn't seem to denote 'Life' as a key component. Point 4 is interesting as it says 'Timeless'
