indeed the HCR bill can be repealed.... but the strategy is for allowing lots of new small social fires to spring up
so that Congress cannot mount any sustained, bi-partisan, maximum effort to repeal the Obama-care cyclops

the HCR bill will endure by default... thats another reason the Bill is a gigantic Tome... for the arguement that there's lots of good in the Law that outweighs the few bad points.

these lawmakers & the administration strategists are so transparent aren't they

The Republicans are including in their "new" health care reform bill many of the very same things that are ALREADY in the present bill. They are counting on the fact that most Americans haven't bothered to find out what is really in the bill and are prone to the hysteria that is thrown at it by the right. For example, they are touting a "reform" that will allow people to buy insurance across state lines. THAT IS ALREADY IN THERE!

Below is a link outlining some of the major changes in health care law instituted yesterday:

Before you can scream about what you haven't got, read what you have.

BTW: The reasoning behind the mandate that everyone must buy health insurance is the fact that the more people that are in any given insurance pool, the less expensive each individual policy would be. It is a measure that would lower the cost of health insurance for everyone. This mandate is in effect in several other industrialized nations, like Japan. The Japanese are very satisfied with their health care coverage and delivery.
