Make sure you sit your camera on something so it doesn't shake or wobble, use a tripod if you have one!

Try to get a building or some other solid fixed object in shot to give an idea of perspective.

Look forward to seeing the vid!

I can't believe nobody here in the GTA area didn't see this?? Probably because they are all sleeping? Me, I'm a night owl, I went out for a cig, and I saw this "freakish" bright star. As an amateur astronomer, it caught my eye.... and I KNEW this isn't normal. My video camera battery was dead, so I plugged it in, and recorded. It blew my mind away!!

Send the footage to a moderator, they can do wonderful things for you

Post the video please, I hope the video is clear and crisp and free from wobbles. And make sure to get something in to give some perspective as to the size of the object.

No, I'm awake, I went outside walked to the escarpment, and didn't see anything... It seems overcast though. Maybe it's only your vantage point, but I saw nothing. Can't wait to see your video though.
I'm in Hamilton, BTW.

Edit to add - Don't forget that not only is there the Pearson flight paths, but also the approach to Hamilton comes over Lake Ontario as well... Just throwing it out there.

Not too sure of the exact direction you're seeing this, but Jupiter is super bright now, it's as close as it's been in a decade.

Just throwing that out there!

Maybe fire up stellarium and see if what you're seeing is meant to be there or not.
