Incredible Giant 'Roll Cloud'Looms Over Photographer's House

www.dailymail.co.uk

A wedding photographer managed to be lucky enough to step outside his front door and witnesses this incredible scene.
Rob Sharrock snapped up his Nikon D300 and dashed out to capture this monstrous roll cloud which seems to go on forever.
Mr Sharrock , from Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, lives in the house with the awning to the left of the frame.

Amazing sight! I have never seen one of the "Roll Clouds" in person. It is quite ominous looking!

This one is just huge! 'The photographer said ""Bloody hell, what on earth is that?" It seemed to go on for miles. It was truly incredible.'

A roll clould is a subtype of arcus cloud - the funnel is horizontal and does not connect to the ground.

Nice find. A week ago or two, we had one in my town. Wasn't that big, tho.
Too bad my cam wasn't charged

Wow what a great photograph.
It's pretty special that he had the presence of mind to take a photo, I think i would just be standing there with my jaw hanging open waiting for some kind of terrible event to happen if I walked out of my house and saw that

Even though it wasn't mentioned, these things always come in 3's. The question is what does it mean?

Dove + mushroom + roll =

While searching for something worth posting to on the newly scrubbed board, I come across this. Thanks for leaving this, at least.

Makes ya kind of remember, there's some things more important than bb's and greater than any of us.

Awesome pic...
