I regularly use Guiness to make tempura batter. Its excellent! Especially good on brocolli florets...
Oops, thats green veg. Does that make this post OT?

True, reminds me of a short fried beer batter. From the pic it doesn't look like it's very good at holding the beery goodness in... Still, would have to try it
