I just purchased a book called "The Art of Shen Ku " by Zeek. I really recommend this book. This tome is a compendium of survival and traveling knowledge, much with origins in Oriental medicine and theory. 336 pages,7,740 subjects, and 40 pages in the index. It covers CPR,survival skills, first aid, accupressure for common problems, herbal medicine,nutrition and vitamin therapy,cooking,macrobiotics,sailing how to grow food, preserve food,diagnosis,divination,meteorology,,how to defend against mugging,martial arts,yoga,fitness,breathing , etc.It is a great addition to anyones SHTF/ Emergency supplies along with SAS/Military survival guides, First Aid kit,etc.Lots of entertaining drawings and comedic ways to remember the information.

Yeah! It is pretty great. Jokes, how to befriend people, deal with unruly children, skin care, handwriting analysis,etc. It was all compiled by a British man who has traveled around by yacht for a long time. I just think it would be useful knowledge for all of us to have regardless of if we have to use it. It's only about $22.00 USD unless you find a used copy. Comic book type illustrations.Im glad I found it. Made a fantastic self B-Day present.The girlfriend was not so impressed by it but all my friends want to buy one now.

The only "negative"reviews I have seen online our from people who do not like herbal/holistic remedies or Traditional Chinese Medicine theories towards health. A big portion of the book is based on that realm of thinking just in case anyone is curious. It is like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as written by an adventurer, martial artist, and Oriental medicine specialist.
