Now, Eurocrats want formal recognition from the United Nations. They want Herman Van Rompuy to be able to address the General Assembly as a head of state, and to create a seat for Baroness Ashton, the EU’s foreign minister (hat-tip, EU Observer).

When we joined EU in Finland and we vote about it (I voted "no") in 1994 European Union was only finance cooperation organization (EMU). After few years they made common money Euro and then came security and political syncronizations - After Lisbon treaty there is federation in our hands, and lke the article says - "last nail in our coffin."

This is terrible - 70 yrs after winterwar our country is gone and those banksters behind this treason are 70 times richer... I want my country back!

Finland was a strong and proud independent nation until the EU bankers got their blood soaked hands on it. Now Finland is going down the toilet just as fast as every other western nation. Your country was always known for its Social Welfare system combined with Agrarian society, now your country has turned in favor of Neoliberalism and Privatization while your left continues to turn further right.

I am no professional of Finnish politics, but what I do know comparing it to pre-1994 you are doing alot worse.

Your country fought for its independence from foreign control and now you have lost the fight, 70 years later. My country has lost the fight against International Bankers too.

It is about time all the people who's ideologies throughout the past have opposed Elitism, Corporatism and Bankers need to come together and tell them, NO!

Liberals, Libertarians, Communists, Socialists, Anarchists and Greens need to put our bickering aside and come together under the name of egalitarianism and reclaim our nations. In the words of Pat Buchanan,

"Block by block, state by state, we will take our country back!"

(Of course Pat Buchanan was a Conservative, but we can use his words if we want)

The US owns Europe, this union created, so that the independent European nations can become one nation and fall in to American control.. Very smart plan, American thinkers, the best thinkers in the world..

I laugh when I hear everyone blaming the bankers for continental integration... Bankers tend to make more money when nations are DIVIDED (more conflict/ opportunities for banker middle men to handle trade transactions). All the EU really is is some very cunning opportunism by European states. You can observe Imperial America waning, and the EU is set to take it place. Perhaps not in security, but certainly in trade (the EU, overall, has a larger economy than the USA). EU-Skeptic Europeans should stop whinging over what will ultimately make them better off.

I am very sceptical of the telegraph these days as they publish blog articles that do not have any sources.

If I posted this on ATS with no links, no official documents or actual articles whatsoever like this guy has i would be deemed a complete idiot.

This is a blog, meaning it is the writers opinion and I dont care if the person is a janitor, managing director, reporter or a homeless man. Its an opinion.

Despite that, the cards are being folded and the curtain is being lifted. A one world governemnt will come shortly and this will only happen if the EU does become a state or by some other means. I agree with the opinion but its still not a complete fact just yet. Theres plenty of people standing in the EU's way and until they are silenced (use that word with various meanings of course) it wont happen.

Does my memory serve me correctly that even the satellite state of the old USSR had representation within the UN? Did the USSR have a representative, or was that Mother Russia herself? Hmm...

If so, then it does throw a historical challenge to the EU... and throws great shadows across the cabal in the USA costume...

What did you expect? Do any of you EU types even own a Bible anymore? Check out what it says in the back of the book in Rev. 17 or in Daniel chapter 7. I will give a short synopsis for the Biblically illiterate.

In the last days there will be a revived Roman empire that will rule the world with a tyrannical one world government. The empire will have 10 core kingdoms that will be the source of its power. It will also have a false harlot religion, that the world dictator will suddenly destroy. Sound familiar yet?

The harlot religion will be replaced with emperor worship focused on the antichrist and the source of his power, the devil. The 4th kingdom, the Roman empire will be like iron mixed with clay. They don't mix well and there will be some contention within the empire. Getting the picture yet?

Oh if this doesn't nail down your place in history perhaps Daniel 9:26 will. The people of this antichrist prince will be the ones who will destroy Jerusalem and the Jewish temple sometime after the first coming of christ. It was the Romans who destroyed the temple and Jerusalem, just as Daniel prophesied at the appointed time. Now where did the Romans draw their armies from?

Do you EU types see your place in history? I suspect by then your religion will change to some form of Islam, and that the catholic church is the harlot religion, but that is speculation. The prophecy will be fulfilled.

It seems to me that if one were even a little bit familiar with the history of European unification, none of this would seem so alarming. Since at least 1950 it has been made clear to the public that the nations of Europe must band together so that they might secure a lasting peace on the continent and remake Europe into a true world leader. Any proposed United States of Europe was meant first and foremost to end the constant feuds between the nations of Europe and ensure peace on the continent, even if it had to come from a central authority. The idea of a new Europe has always been a sort of revisionist nostalgia for the days of the Roman Republic, the same nostalgia that drove the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, and the democratic revolutions of America and France. European unification has always been the chief political goal of the humanist movement.

Why should this be denied? Because bankers benefit from their control of the central bank? They already control the banks of France, Germany, and the other EU members, and they pit these nations against each other whenever it benefits them. What would change under this new regime? The peoples of Europe will no longer be turned against each other, but against external enemies. This is bad news for Russia and China, erhaps, but it is definitely good news for Europeans.

The problem is, as others have pointed out, the government of the EU does not appear to be particularly representative of the people. It is bureaucratic, centralized, and filled with all the socialist, occult and power mad concepts of the bankster elite. They KNOW that the EU is a vehicle for bringing in world government, and the antichrist.

The only real thing remaining are the details. The full manifestation of this evil can not occur until the appointed time, when a certain restraining power is removed from it's position. What that power is, is not well known, but it is part of Biblical prophecy. (Some say it's the christian church, but this is inconsistent with scripture).

You are right in being alarmed at the machinations of the EU, and the loss of national sovereignty. Be afraid, very afraid. You may call me a nutcase, but it's all being fulfilled before your very eyes.

The EU establishes profit (aka "economics") as the sole priority, puts government in the hands of the bankers and corporations, neutralizes democracy, inaugurates corporate feudalism - and indentures ordinary people.

Just like the "North American Free Trade Agreement" does, and like the planned "Free Trade Area of the Americas" will do.

We're led to believe we need to play to be "competitive" in the world market, but no - these "Free Trade" agreements are, in fact,

the legal framework for corporate world government.
