I think the Republican Party/Tea Party/Glenn Beck folks are the true cancer in this country.
They're all a cancer to this country.

No, it's guys like you that demonize people that think differently than you that are polarizing the nation.
Absolutely somewhat correct. But what are realistic solutions? I say we don't need tax cuts and a massive reduction of government, yet you might say otherwise...which one is the realistic solution?
Right or left, the unwillingness to compromise and seek realistic solutions seems to be a thing of the past.
The Republicans in Congress have publicly stated their only goal is to oppose everything the Obama administration proposes.[/quote[
It is not the duty of Congress to follow the president's ideas and goals that he hopes for. The president is not head of Congress and only can persuade the people from the bully pulpit to pressure their congressmen and senators to act upon his ideas.
When has the majority of people become so ignorant into what a president is there for?
This is not solely for you, as I believe you have a grasp on a president's duties...
US Constitution: Article II (The one that outlines what a president's responsibilties are:
A few points from there....is under the wisdom of the writers of the Constitution as to not give any branch too much power, there is a lot of words such as: 'their [congress'] consideration and 'and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate'.
He is our head of state and our chief diplomat. Just a man, leading a people that voted for him. Leading is the key word, and sometimes, not everyone will approve of the direction a leader is taking.
Stop whining about Socialism. You don't even know what it is.
Agree with you on that point, this is more soft-socialism in which there is pseudo social programs under the guise that is what a free people want.
From your stance, everyone should just stop questioning him and allow his ideas to move forward without consideration. Sorry, that is not how it works nor should it ever work that way.

I categorize each block into groups. You have Left-wing, Left, Center-left, Center, Center-right, Right, Right-wing. This will help you understand.
Left-wing: Social Democrat (Dennis Kucinich, Franklin D. Roosevelt)
Left: Liberal, Progressive (Howard Dean, John F. Kennedy)
Center-left: Moderate (Barack Obama, Lyndon B. Johnson)
Center: Centrist, Third Way (Bill Clinton, Dwight D. Eisenhower)
Center-right: Liberal Conservative (Olympia Snowe, Richard Nixon)
Right: Neoconservative, Social Conservative (Mike Huckabee, Ronald Reagan)
Right-wing: National Conservative (Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich)
Does that help you with the picture? Or maybe this will help.

Do the lables really matter? they all take money from the same multinational companies and special intrests and yet the public eats up both parties BS. Take this forum for instance it's called political madness for a reason.I think biggest reason we can't move forward is because it would mean for a lot of people to admit that our politcal system is the biggest farce in the world and that would make the old line about us having the "greatest system in the world." be the total lie that it really is.

I don't really like to categorize politicians because they swing with whoever is funding them. I like to evaluate voters and what politicians say.
No it's not because a non-white is in power but because of the liberal agenda.
All I see coming from the left is partisan bickering
I don't know if the left drinks a different type of kool-aid or something

The democrat party of today is a circus, bearing little to no resemblance to the party of JFK.
The Republican Party of today is far more radical than I can even remember, even from my studies of American political history. The Democrats and Republicans weren't radically different before '64, most legislation had heavy bipartisan support.
The Democrats have become more Liberal, BUT NOT MORE SOCIALIST. If you looked closely you would see that in an American Political context that the two parties, prior to '09, looked a lot alike on the economy. If the Republicans weren't hell-bent of opposing anything that the Democrats touch then more than 70% of Obama's legislation would have more than 10 Republicans supporting it in the Senate and probably 50 supporting it in the House. The major dividing issue prior to '09 was the culture wars, that is why you hear Republicans use the word Elitist, it's a Culture War rallying cry.
To fight a culture war is simple minded nonsense, all you have to do is throw around some nationalistic and religious words and rail against academia and everything not "Average".
If you think the Democrats of today are Communists you would have thought the Republican Party of '63 was Communist as well and the Democrats would be off the left-wing charts. The Democrats of today ARE THE REPUBLICANS OF 50 YEARS AGO.
