Just wondering if anyone in the Southern Cali area felt that quake?

Thing lasted almost a minute.

Wasn't anything HUGE, but shook the house, and started moving in circular motions.

Yeah i've been feeling swaying motions off and on throughout the day.

It's starting to act up more. Just hope that earthquake we are due for (supposedly) doesn't happen anytime soon.

Frankly feeling disconcerted about these latest quakes mentioned. Spoke to my sis (who lives in the palisades) and reminded her, for prudence sake, to have her emergency box up to date - including the special spanner/wrench thingy needed to turn off gas mains if the pipes break. Just had a feeling she should be stocked and prepared IF anything should happen. Make sense or am I scare mongering?

No it definately makes sense. It's better to be safe than sorry. Since you mentioned it, I should also get a Emergency Kit of some sort. It's good to have it just in case.

Yes - that's my point. Is it the Scouts motto, "BE PREPARED"? Well, if I lived in a flood prone area I'd have sand bags 'just in case'. Weirdly my sister just called and said she's got everything sorted and placed in a 'strategic' spot 'just in case'. When it all settles and, please God, there'll be no BIG one, you can all have a party of canned fruit and beans!

Having just gone through the Canterbury Quake here in New Zealand, and still suffering large aftershocks and ground movements, I can tell you now that you can never be too prepared!

Checking your loved ones are prepared is just a natural response.

Stay safe all..

You and aswell as your loved ones stay safe.
