Oh, I saw Jabba right away.

I just thought everyone doing the overlays had really poor drawing skills and didn't want to come down on them for it.

What are your own thoughts on these?

Sorry Zorgon - couldn't resist... Just started reading the thread, nice finds - I'll try harder to contribute something more meaningful in a bit.

To my untrained eye, some of them looked like fossilized sand dollars.

That was the "face" is saw first, although it looks to me like a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger. Perhaps it's a coin celebrating the "woman behind the mask", although I don't think she was blonde, as colored. I think she was a brunette.

Just saying...but I am enjoying this thread nonetheless.

*Yellow card assessed*. C'mon Kratos - "charlatan Hall of Fame"?! Tsktsktsk. Scary to think someone might be judging us based upon our beliefs - surely this has never happened in recorded history...

Nevertheless, clearly "belief" was never a premise for this thread - "What's up with all the Coin like finds on Mars?" is what Zorgon posted in his OP. While several of the photos are indeed intriguing and currently unexplained - he never stated that he "believed" that the objects were, in fact, coins. I would also posit that research and discussion of anomalous images of "coin like finds," pyramids, and figures do not justify an indictment of an individual's "beliefs," nor does it merit "pigeon holing" anyone into a "Charlatan Hall of Fame." This is, after all, a conspiracy site...

Zorgon may put a few fun threads out there tongue in cheek, but the research and work that has gone into his serious threads deserves more respect that this.

If you wanted to skip the step of attempting to separate the wheat from the chaff on ATS, you could do worse that simply going to Z's public page and following the threads that he is posting in... Just sayin...

And here's a link to various theories about life on Mars.

Did Viking really find evidence of life there in 1976?

Was earth a colony of Mars, or were they both colonies of some other alien civilization?

Were there ancient temples and cities on Mars?

Were there dams and catch basins?

Was Noah an allegory about an alien colonizser?

Have UFOs been photographed in the Martian skies?

Why don't you get together with Exuberant1 and post that 'smoking gun' document you guys have been sitting on. The one about the moon mining that is so shocking and disturbing no one has the balls to post.

www.abovetopsecret.com...&mem=Exuberant1

I read this article about helium today and thought you might find this part intersting:

The U.S. government has been selling helium disgracefully cheaply, Richardson says; we apparently supply 80 percent of the world's helium, and in 1996, Congress passed an act dictating that we get rid of our stockpile by 2015. He wants the government to get out of the helium business and let the market dictate prices.

"Unfortunately, party balloons will be $100 each rather than $3, but we'll have to live with that," he says.

I have trouble thinking of one thing that was passed in the 1990s that was anything but bad for this country, from NAFTA to the repeal of the Glass-Stegall Act. It was a dismal decade, even worse than the 1980s if that's possible, and we're paying for it now.

So it doesn't surprise me that someone like Richardson--a total crook and scoundrel--would even come up with a way to rip off the public with higher helium pricaes. They even want to make the kiddies suffer at their birthday parties.

Now hold on there a minute... I just looked at some of the other names on that "Charlatan" list

Do you know that those guys.. like Greer, the Project Camelot crew, etc... are flying around the world for interviews and conventions, living the international playboy lifestyle, selling stuff, getting donations from loyal followers and all around making MONEY..

While I sit here like an idiot giving it away free so someone else can make money [ cough cough ATS cough)

So I get to suffer the abuse... but don't get the paycheck... hmmmm that "Hall of Fame" starting to look promising

I thought it would be a good topic to make a thread about.

Its a GREAT topic to make a tread about
but it will take me several weeks to put all the research together. just posting a document without the context research is hardly much use...

And right now I have a few other things on my plate.. but I promise you will be the first to know when it's ready

Very nice.

Glad you are back and in action Zorgon.

I just love seeing Mars Anomalies and you are one of ATS's most prolific researchers of the topic.

These circular ...anomalies are just perplexing.

I know you called them "coins" but could it be some sort of fossilized remnants?

Just tossing out some possibilities there.

The "it's just a geological natural formation" explanation will arrive in 3...2...1...

i agree. it might be a fossilized prehistoric creature

I wouldn't be surprised if Mars used to be thriving with our ancestors, until some catastrophe wiped them out, and we lost all records in the past.

There is all kinds of "coincidental"-looking stuff laying all over the surface that is very hard to explain with only natural phenomenon. NASA probably already knows this and intentionally sends their rovers to the Martian equivalent of the Nevada deserts.

I have no idea if ATS is the right place, I haven't seen the information, but if you post it somewhere else it'll most likely get posted here anyway.

If you want I can put on a miniskirt and volunteer to help you out with the grunt work. I waste alot of time on this website, might as well do something productive.

My thing is you keep reading you keep responding. You keep looking. My guess is you keep looking for an answer and in this attempt to look like you do not believe you keep looking at these threads and bashing them. in reality you are looking for an answer.

If not well you my friend waste more of your life coming to something you do not like reading about it wasting the time posting useless comments. You could be outside enjoying the world or being involved in a topic that you actually like?

It is thought that the Martians throw coins at our rovers as we throw coins down a wishing well. Exit polls indicate the number 1 Martian wish is that Earthlings would just get over themselves followed closely by wishing for rain. Further polling indicates that 83.7% of Martians believe that the Earth will be destroyed in 2012, 33% that Obama was born in Africa and 47% agree strongly that blaming Bush is a universal truth. Stay tuned for the latest results.

Looking for recognizable features in the photographic data, is like searching for figures in the clouds. The robot probe opportunity is nothing short of miraculous, but it's not an archeaologist or geologist or even an astronaut.
Real space exploration like universal health care is too expensive for the USA, they're too busy bailing out the rich financial institutions that have turned their economy into some kind of rigged casino, or fighting imperealistic wars to secure control over resources that aren't theirs. Sorry guys, what were you saying about coins and figures and such?

Well, let me just say that I couldn't resist. I apologize. These are some cool looking "coins" though. We need to create some sort of aircraft to replace the rovers. Something as compact and lightweight as possible. Something that is durable, maybe propeller operated, or some other form of renewable energy to power it. With our current technology we could probably make some very incredible finds; be they natural or otherwise.

And on to the part I apologized for.
