Alright it may seem strange to me but I have located 6 nations that received military support from the US, USSR, UK, and China from 1966-1975. Two of the six are now hotbeds for terrorism. What was the need for the above mentioned countries to aid the following countries militarily?

1. Iraq
2. Pakistan
3. Sudan
4. Syria
5. Tanzania
6. Zambia

I think the list that we DON'T give military aide to is probably the shorter to compile.

True it is definitely a shorter list however I pointed this out because during the time period mentioned the Cold War was raging and the USSR, the US, the UK, and China all gave support to those six countries.

1. Iraq, Pre - 1979 was more Soviet supported with heavy equipment, US tech was desirable though.
2. Pakistan, To counter Indias lean towards the Soviets
3. Sudan, Remember Castros forays into Africa?
4. Syria, Did not know US provided anything at that time I'll have to think on this one because it makes no sense.
5. Tanzania, Remember Castros forays into Africa?
6. Zambia, Remember Castros forays into Africa?
