There are many pictures I have never seen before, I thought maybe some of you might not have seen them either.

This thread is not to debate the issue, we have hundreds of those. But to remember the 3000 that died that day 9 years ago.

I'm very passionate about the 9/11 facts. Thank you for this non-confrontatioal remembrace! I also believe the day of 9/11 should be held sacred, no matter what you believe about it.

Also happy Rosh Hoshanah and Eid Mubarak!

Back in '02, on the year anniversary, I was in 8th grade and I remember thinking (or it actually happening?) the firemen, EMT's, and policemen all throughout the US should hold a moment of silence and turn on their sirens for something like 10 seconds or so in honor of the fallen.
It was more less me being amazed and loving the unity of the united states, I guess, and still affected by the tragedy. That was back before I knew what I know now and before all of the conspiracies. It was a devastating event and even until this day, those who died should never be forgotten - and I'm sure they won't.
Still bugs the heck out of me to see the pictures of the people jumping out of the WTC out of pure hopelessness. That day sucked.

I am bumping this back up for the 10 year mark, how sad it must be for the families that were impacted by this.

How the world has changed in only a decade, one respected man once said never forget the world and everything we know can change in 1 hour, just like on 9/11.

Still a sad video.

15 years lest we forget.

Bumping for 2016, newer posters should watch this video.

Still hoping for justice for those left in 9/11 wake, especially the families.

Fifteen years ago...

Seems like just yesterday sometimes.

Here are their names.

9-11 victims

Again, 16 years on.

I can't imagine the grief of those that lost loved ones this day, time helps, but it never goes away totally.

Annual bump up.

17 years later, seems like nobody even cares anymore in this new political environment.

Pretty sad.

We do.

For many of us, this is the day the world changed. Much like Dec. 7th, 1941 for my parents generation changed their world.

The wound just isn't as fresh as it once was, buried beneath a decade plus of other events, both good and bad. Though for some, it's still as raw and painful as it has ever been.
