The history of human flight is truly a remarkable, world wide achievment. In one hundred years, a mere nanosecond in history, we have gone from a shaky first powered flight to putting a private rocket into space.

Yeah, nice link.

I think what will be really interesting is the defining moments in human flight that happened up until now, that we learn about in 10, 20, and 30 years from now. Taking things into consideration like the SR-71 started being developed in the 50s I can only imagine what crazy type of aircraft/spacecraft have been developed and have flown or currently flying. One estimate puts our government at 50 years technologically ahead than is percieved, so if Rutan can get into space right now you know we have done better and a long time ago.
